This product works awesome!!!
I had around 8,000 10 MB .JPGs on an SDHC card and I thought I had downloaded them all so I erased the card. But after looking at the photos, I discovered I was missing about 1,000 pics. This was a travel trip in Japan and boy, I felt I had a lobotomy and part of my mind was missing when I lost those photos. So I bought a card reader and it came with free recovery software. However the software only found 2910 pics on the card. I kept re-running it but it would find the same 2910 pics each time so I gave up. I tried to use some free Canon photo recovery software I downloaded from the web but had installation issues due to the buggy software. So much for that. Finally Remo Recover arrived in the mail. The product is a bit pricy and the interface is somewhat simplistic (you can't see the recovered photos popping up during the recovery process, so everything is blind until the scanning process finishes). It took about an hour for Remo Recover to find all the photos, about 8152 in all. Moreover, it also found backup copies of the same photos in another folder. It even found a couple hundred .JPGs that would not preview so they must be overwritten files. In any case, I got all my photos back, and duplicates on top of that! Saving all those photos to my 4 TB external drive took about an hour also. But Remo Recover certainly saved the day!

Remo works, but be prepared to spend time reviewing recovered files
I have a background in computer forensics -- recovery of electronic evidence. I tried one of my primary tools first and then this product on a friend's computer. That computer crashed because of a failed Windows 10 upgrade (from Windows 7). The drive (1 TB) had about 650GB of data, but only about 220GB of User-created data. On top of the corrupted operating system, the User reloaded Windows 7 Pro on the computer.Pre-Analysys & Purchase:I was very impressed that the Remo Software was able to recover the partition containing the data. I first used the free version to see if it worked. After I saw this initial "success" (I put that in parenthesis only because I didn't actually follow the process to recover the data--just to find the lost partition), I decided to spring for the Remo "Pro" version. Remo Software offers specials when purchasing, but I found the best deal at the time right here on Amazon--saving $20)Full Analysis:I was happy with the results, but if you don't have a general understanding of file structure and file types--the results could be overwhelming (depending on the size of the drive/partition and amount of data). Luckily, Remo has a "Smart Scan" that I would absolutely suggest using. That is a scan for the most readily user-created documents. Many files lost the file names (they will be numbered), so be prepared to click through the recovery data for some time.Weaknesses:I found that .pdf (portable document file) files were the least successful recovered file type. These files will not open, with an error message "corrupt" -- doesn't recognize the file signature. I used some readily available "PDF Recovery" software programs, but NONE of them worked to resolve the issue.I could go on, but this gives a quick summary of my experience. I ran the analysis several times over a 1-week period. Be patient, because it takes a long time to process. Overall, I found it worthwhile for a recovery avenue--worthwhile

A waste of money
It does not work. I bought this to recover files on a Seagate drive that a child accidentally formatted by hitting format instead of rename. We let it finish formatting and did nothing else to the drive. When the software arrived it recovered nothing and saw nothing on the drive although I know he has about 30 files on the drive and Windows sees the drive but sees it as empty. We then tried every option available-nothing worked. We reviewed their videos to make certain we were doing all things correctly. I tried calling them and got a recorded message in a foreign accent that no one was available. It did not work on a new 4TB Seagate drive. A waste of money.

Right now I am really disappointed.
On the surface this product appeared to offer what I was looking for. I was trying to recover photos lost in my computer, however, I could still conduct a file search and see the pathways for them. Simple recovery right? here were no instructions with this program and it only recovered pictures associated with web pages and shopping-90% thumbnails. Right now I am really disappointed.

Amazing program!
I had a corrupted WD external hard drive that I could not access. Remo Recover was able to extract files from the drive which I thought were lost forever. One problem is that the files were extracted without folders, but at least I have most of them, and now I need to sort through them. Amazing program.

I would not recommend this program
The only files recovered were windows reg files and some other misc file that were no use to me. It took extremely long time to process the hard drive. I would not recommend this program.
