Chicks Run Wild

This book would be great for an elementary teacher to read to a class. Also a good book to read to your child or grandchild. It rhymes, and has colorful illustrations. The rhyming is so much fun. A mother hen tries to put her chicks to bed at the end of the day, but they are too rambunctious and Mommy has to keep returning to their room to settle them down. Finally Mommy tries an unexpected technique and joins in their jumping around, and she tires out the chicks and they finally fall asleep. Then Mommy hen goes to the couch and enjoys herself with food, tv, and a manicure. Highly recommended for younger children, 2-8 years old.

Adorable story my kids have always loved. Bought this copy to read in my daughters first grade class and all of the kids loved it! It’s a fairly quick and fun read with a rhyming rhythm.

My daughter got a copy of this book in a cereal box. It was a small paperback. For some reason, she loved this book. I ordered her the actual hardcover on Amazon and she was so happy. It's a really cute book.

Got this book as a little paperback out of a Cheerios box and like it so much we bought the hardcover. This is one of our favorites!

Love this author. I met her when I was teaching. She has a way of rhyming words and using bigger words yet making them make sense (or have obvious meaning). He stories are also fun to read.

Super cute story. My boys LOVE the illustrations and I really love reading this to them. It is so clever, and the rhymes always make me giggle. I bought one for my niece as well because my sister thought it was hilarious.

This book is charming. We got it for our granddaughter to give to her Mom on Mother's Day. The last page makes me laugh out loud every time I read it and my granddaughter loves it too..
