disappointed twice
We ordered this xylophone for our son for Christmas but found that the red key was stuck in one position between the two pins, which were set too close. Therefore, the sound coming from that key was "dink." So, we exchanged it for a new one. With the new one, the keys were all well set, and the sound is good, but there are two problems. First, the yellow key has the paint scratched off at the corners, and the ball of the baton was drilled at an offset angle to the stick. We kept this second one to avoid the hassle of exchanging it and so we could just watch our son play with it. But, for the price, the quality of the product is a disappointment.

The Xylophone Glockenspiel...hand held.
The hand-held Xylophone Glockenspiel is a super find for me on Amazon. Honestly, with the well tuned notes, a child can hear nice sounds even if he/she has not yet learned to play. Very nicely balanced on the wood backing board withe a handle...just a great piece in my estimation. I love the design. the fact that it has a place to store the mallet is a very nice feature. I personally would recommend this to anyone, you can't go wrong with an instrument that really sounds good. The size and weight makes for a perfectly balanced instrument. I would definitely order again ...great gifts!

Fantastic Xylophone for my great nephew!
I sent this directly to my niece for her 5 year old son who is very curious and loves music. I asked her what I should write in the review. She said that her son LOVES this Xylophone....it has very pleasant tones and the colors are great. She said it is very strong and durable for a child's use. She said...give it 5 stars!!!! So there you are...it was a guess as a gift and it was a hit! I saw photos of him opening it and it looked as great as on the website! Hope this review encourages folks to give the gift of music to children!

Very happy with this purchase!
This a beautifully made xylophone And the price is great. I purchased it for my 1 year old granddaughter. My son who is a musician said the notes are perfect and he loves playing it too. Sadly, their dog chewed the mallet. It had to be thrown out so they are using a plastic mallet from another toy until we can figure out what to do. Don't hesitate to buy, you will love it!!

Awesome toy. Reasonable price and my grandson loves it. He's only a year old! The music, when I do it, has him transfixed and he tries to do the same. Only one year old! He is making the connections and laughing to show me! It is small enough for easy storage and the sound is awesome for this price. I am quite impressed! Excellent for fine motor skills! I will look at your toys. I am a Special Ed. teacher and think this would be great in my classroom! A BIG 5 stars for this one!!! Pat :) aka Grandma :)

Jed loves it!
Favorite Christmas gift of a 15 month old boy! He walked around the house all day "playing" it and picked it up again first thing on the 26th. His parents are very happy with overall quality. I'm very pleased with ease of ordering and timely shipping.

I really like this xylophone
I really like this xylophone; however, I thought the ball and wand were supposed to be one unit, and it appears they are two.

The Stick is Very Long and Pointy
Great sound! Solidly made. Nice handle that stores the stick. This is a very nice xylophone, but I worry about the long narrow stick. It could poke a child and cause an injury.
