Worked great on LL Bean down coat - still strong a year and multiple washes later
AMAZING!I ripped an LL Bean down jacket on a protruding nail and was SO SAD.I found this. Was skeptical. Applied it and honestly completely forgot the jacket had ever ripped. It’s going strong after multiple trips through the washer & dryer.

Works very well, but you have to round the corners
I bought a brand new coat and within a week it somehow got a big rip in it. I bought this tape and cut several pieces out of it. I covered the rip with one strip and then used the other pieces to create a simple stripe design. I repeated the design on the other side of the coat. I did this to make it look more like the stripes were meant to be there rather than looking like as much like a patch. I used the black tape on a black coat for a tone on tone style so that they wouldn't be quite as noticeable as if I had used a contrasting color. They don't show up as much in real life as it appears in the photo, it's a little more subtle. It came out well enough that I will still wear the coat. After all, it is a puffer, so it is casual and not something I'd wear with a nice outfit. The tape works pretty well, although you are limited in design somewhat by the need to round the corners. If you didn't, a sharp point would be more likely to begin to peel. I highly recommend the product since it kept my coat from going to the garbage pile!

amazing product
This Tenacious Tape saved my waterproof seatcover in my car that my boyfriend's son was ripping from the backseat with his sharp nails. I just bought these carseat covers 3 months ago and wanted to get more longevity out of them rather than throw them away, since they're still good. I didn't know a thing like Tenacious Tape existed and I am so glad I found it. I wasn't sure what to expect since the material is thin and slippery-like, but it was easy to cut and apply. The quality is good material and it stuck on with applied pressure as instructions say. I stopped the rips in the seatcover from spreading. It gets hot in my car being that I live in a constantly sunny area with no covered parking, and this tape holds up

Works very well but be prepared for a little customization.
I used the tenacious tape to cover places in a car seat where the fabric had worn through because of a bad original batch. I had three beautiful seats and one that just didn't get done right. Rather than fight with the dealer, I thought it was time to DIY. In about 75% of the spots, it worked very well and is still working. In the others, I had to go back and re-do the application because the adhesive on the tape wasn't strong enough to hang on to the fabric upholstery after some use. However, it worked fine the second time around with the addition of a little Gorilla Glue. I tried other solutions (duct tape of course) but the Gear Aid Tape was definitely the best looking and will probably be the longest lasting.

Saved my Down Filled Winter Coats
This tape works really well. You have to follow directions and round off the straight edges for a good seal. I pressed it on and rubbed it in. You don’t need to apply heat to make them stick. Leaving it squared can cause it to peel off in the corners, so you do want to round corners. I have a black Tommy Hilfiger Down filled long coat and a black Columbia down filled long coat. The only problem with both coats was the material on both. I used to walk my German Shepherd and Golden Retriever with other peoples large dogs that needed exercise. Problem with shell material on both coats is that the others dogs toenails would slice through the material (polyester) like butter if they just jumped on me for a hug. Both coats were perfect for frigid winters even below zero temps. Looking for coats to replace what I have would have cost big bucks. I now have a 1 year old German Shepherd. Her favorite temps are frigid. Both my coats keep me warm enough to be outside in freezing temps for long walks and play in snow and rain. This tape made them look new again. One coat is darker black than the other, but the tape blended in on both. They looked trashy with the slices and holes but look really good now. I patched everything on both and still have tape left, if my new Shepherd does any damage. The cost of the tape roll versus 2 brand new coats at a minimum of over $300 to replace them is a no brainer. I didn’t like the prices I was seeing, even for inferior coats. I have an olive green North Face puffy coat also. If anything happens to that, I will look for olive green tape. Since my dog is a winter dog, I have a lot of winter coats, so if one does get wet on outside, I can put on another to take her out again and again, while the other one dries. They love to be outside in winter. I hate paying full price, so I normally wait for really good sales, but was stuck with having to look at full prices or getting this tape. You can’t see the patches and they look perfect. I was trying to find coats with a cloth shell, but they were so expensive and the two winter coats I have for walks and play, are perfect for frigid weather, both below knee length, which keeps me warm for walks or play anytime. Tape cuts well with sharp scissors, if your scissors are dull it doesn’t cut well. I haven’t washed them since I put the tape on, but it looks like they should go through wash okay. The tape seems to be the right thickness, not so thick it stands out, it lays flush to the coat and is easy to apply. It doesn’t look like they are patched. I’m happy.
