Connected it via USB to a cheap 2nd hand mini PC bought on eBay and broadcasted/streamed the image wirelessly over our LAN, using free Yawcam software, to other PCs, laptops and mobile phones around the house. It worked perfectly with a great sharp image and excellent build quality for the price. Its very sturdy and robust. Small too!!!The camera housing is a good quality coated metal encasing with screws to open it up to access the internals. It also comes with the correct size thread to mount it to a tripod head. The C/CS Mount lens is robust, smooth and easy to operate/focus and provides the Sony image sensor with a sharp image. Adjustable zoom, focus and aperture.There is no software with this camera, but it will open easily with Microsoft's own free camera software or whatever software you wish to use. USB plug and play.This camera will make a much cheaper alternative to the more expensive cameras using the same Sony sensor such as webcams, dash cams etc. It's an excellent choice for hobbyists and enthusiasts, but is also novice friendly.Great, well made, basic, little camera for the price.

Similar to the Marshall CV500 series, but without the specialized electronics for professional studio use. An eighth of the price, though!# It's in a heavyweight solid metal cuboid case with a 1/4 inch screw socket for a tripod on both top and bottom of the case.# The Sony IMX179 1080p sensor unit is the standard one, and the only connector is a heavyweight 30cm lead to an inline 5-pin pentagon inline socket, which couples via a matching inline plug to a standard USB A plug - total length 3 metres.# The lens supplied (there are also fixed-focal length lenses available if you shop around) is a superb telephoto 2.8mm - 12mm, marked as aperture 1:1.4, and 1/2.5 inch CS IR (presumably the sensor). It's locked onto the screw mount with a tiny Allen screw. The lens thread is about 30mm, but I haven't checked exactly. A dust cap is supplied.# All the lens controls are manual (what do you expect at this price?) and are, from the base, > wide-tele zoom ring, > aperture ring (needed to stop down in strong light) and > focus ring.All the adjustment rings turn smoothly and with a little resistance - perfect for fine adjustment - and the zoom and focus each has a locking screw.In use as a webcam (all I've tried it with yet) the camera zoom runs from medium wide-angle to a good close-up - about a 4.3x zoom. Most webcams are fixed focal length, somewhere between wide and super-wide. So it's great for studio use. With this, you can keep the camera further away, so you get a full head-and-shoulders without the bulbous nose and giant hands of typical webcams.With an adaptor to convert the USB output to HDMI (I have the Hulier at about £15) and a USB-A female to female convertor, it should work well as a TV monitor camera, or like an HDMI camera like the Marshall CV-506 at about £520 (minus the full output and control suite). So it ought to work as a feed camera for a Blackmagic ATEM Mini video switch.ELP supplies a small help leaflet in the box, a QR code for installing Amcap control software (frame rate, resolution, etc), which I haven't tried, and sent a welcome email offering to debug any problems on installation, via Amazon messaging. Good! I chose this camera, though, rather than others which appear identical but come direct from China, because of the Amazon Prime system of supply, in case of problems - worth a couple of quid more! Everything has been fine, though.Last point: there are no sound capabilities, unlike regular webcams. That would have to come from an independent microphone. But if you're setting up your own vlogging suite, you'll have that anyway, and won't want to use the inferior camera microphone!

Wanted an overhead camera for doing instructional videos. This has been excellent. Set the focus. Add to OBS and off you go. Video performance better than expected. Ability to zoom is a great plus.

I used this camera for live streaming our local church services. Camera is super easy to setup and use. And with the standard tripod screw connector on the bottom, easy to mount. Worked perfectly with obs studio for our YouTube channel. Only thing I noticed was a slight yellow hue in the centre of the picture. Most of time it is hard to notice but if you have a lot of white in the centre of the picture you will notice it. But if you are looking for a budget way to live stream this camera will be good enough for you.

This is not for you if you want to move around and rely on autofocus. It also has to be the right way up (label on top). It is easy to make a mistake with that because it is a cube shape; but it can be an advantage if you want to film sideways or upside down. You need to set the camera position up to observe an object at a fixed distance and leave it there. I dropped a star because the USB cable is built in and rather stiff so that you can position it just right on a flat surface and as soon as you let go, the lead moves the camera position. It really needs to be attached to a tripod or other device that will hold it still and resist the lead.I was delighted to find that it really does well with macro views - I scared myself with very close up views of my eyes!

The construction was nice and very solid, I was very happy with if for about 30 seconds until I realized that there were hundreds of dead/blury pixels all over the image. Maybe I just got unlucky, but I would have thought QC would have picked that up...

Die Bildqualität ist bei fast jedem Licht sehr gut. Weniger gut finde ich die Kompressionsartefakte die ich persönlich immer erkennen kann weil ich sehr erfahrene Augen habe. So kann es durchaus sein, dass andere nichts davon merken. Die Einstellungsmöglichkeiten sind sehr vielfältig. Dieses Model von ELP liefert einen sehr flüssigen Stream sowohl bei Android als auch unter Windows. Ich konnte nach zahllosen Aufnahmen keine regelmäßgen Dropouts oder Störungen bei 1080P erkennen. Bei sehr vielen Aufnahmen habe ich sogar jedes einzelne Frame überprüft.Es ist ist tatsächlich extrem schwer die Schärfe einzustellen. Bei normalen DSLR Kameras sollte man z.B. die Schärfe bei maximalem Tele einstellen. Fährt man dann mit dem Zoom zurück in Richtung maximalem Weitwinkel, bleibt die Schärfe bestehen wenn das Objektiv einigermaßen was taugt. Nicht so bei dieser Kamera. Immer wenn man den Zoomhebel berührt muss man die Schärfe erneut einstellen.Herausragend ist die Fähigkeit für Nahaufnahmen. Man kann damit das Objekt fast berühren und wird dann nur durch das fehlende Licht behindert. So kann man mit dieser Kamera sicherlich eine Art digitales Mikroskop realisieren wenn man es auf ein geeignetes Gestell montiert. Man könnte es dann beispielsweise beim Löten von sehr kleinen Bauteilen oder bei der Fehlersuche(z.B. unterbrochene oder kurzgeschlossene Leiterbahnen) verwenden. Dieses hier wäre dann eine der besten auf dem Markt weil es eine sehr gute Auflösung hat(Full-HD;1080P), eine sehr gute Bildqualität bei wenig Licht liefert und fast verzögerungsfrei arbeitet.Die Kamera arbeitet auf Android und Windows sehr zuverlässig. Usb kabel rausziehen sofort wieder rein und ähnliches bewirkt keine Fehler. Es ist nie vorgekommen dass die Kamera z.B. plötzlich nicht zu erreichen war wenn man sie kurz abgesteckt hatte.Unter Android würde ich die App "USB Kamera Pro" von Shen Yao empfehlen. Diese App ist das bisschen Geld auf alle Fälle wert, sehr zuverlässig und sammelt keine privaten Daten um diese zu verkaufen, was heute leider extrem selten geworden ist. Vergisst bitte die Propaganda von den chinesichen Hackern die nur an eure Daten wollen um Terroranschläge durchzuführen, mißtraut lieber eurer eigenen Regierung und vor allem den namhaften Softwarehäusern wie MS, A, Apfel, Google und Co die solche Gerüchte verbreiten um den Verdacht von sich zu lenken.Unter Windows funktioniert das Freeware Programm Virtual Dub/Virtual Dub2 sehr gut mit dieser Kamera. Dieses muss nicht einmal installiert werden und benötigt extrem wenig Speicherplatz. Dieses reicht völlig aus wenn man die Kamera z.B. als Digital Mikroskop verwenden will. Wer dafür lieber mehr Funtkionen haben will, sollte zu dem Programm "Split Cam" greifen.Ich habe diese Kamera zu einer Infrarot Kamera umgebaut; dazu habe ich das IR Sperrfilter ausgebaut und es durch ein 685nm IR Pass Filter ersetzt. Dieses Filter findet man hier relativ günstig (Svbony SV183). Es lässt viel Licht durch. Ich habe das Filterglas aus dem Ring gedreht und es mit Sekundenkleber in die Kamera eingeklebt. Dazu muss man das Filter extrem vorsichtig am Rand mit Sekundenkleber benetzen(lieber wenig als mehr), kurz warten damit es schnell haftet und in die Kamera einkleben. Man hat bei keiner Aktion mehr als einen Versuch! Also lieber extrem vorsichtig arbeiten. Das Filter kann man zur Not mit alkoholhaltigem Desinfektionsmittel reinigen und u.U. von verrutschtem Sekundenkleber befreien. Der Vorteil gegenüber anderen Kameras; Man kann Filmen und einzelne Frames heraussuchen und vor allem mit sehr wenig Licht arbeiten. Auch ist die Arbeit mit einem Android Tablet unterwegs sehr angenehm. Die Bilder zeigen einzelne Frames aus solchen Filmen. Der IR Umbau ist bei dieser Kamera vergleichsweise sehr leicht.Für diese Kamera gibt es sicherlich sehr viele Einsatzbereiche. Wer eine Autofokuskamera bevorzugt, sollte eine andere nehmen obwohl diese Kamera auf einem Gestell oder kleinem Stativ befestigt, einmal fokussiert, wegen der hohen Lichtempfindlichkeit und dem flüssigen 1080P Stream sehr gut als Webcam einsetzbar ist. Sehr loben muss ich auch das sehr stabile Gehäuse mit den auf beiden Seiten(!) angebrachten universal Stativgewindelöchern(sehr nützlich wenn man es z.B. als Digital Mikroskop verwenden will).
