Storm Whale Board book – July 1, 2017

We found The Storm Whale through our love of the Bizzy Bear series. Storm Whale works great as a read-aloud for toddlers, though it is longer and not interactive. It will hold interest later into childhood though.The story itself is a bit subtle, and I am always fascinated by what my daughter seems to get out of it. It's well-drawn and an interesting setting with identifiable characters, and we have really enjoyed it.There is also a sequel called The Storm Whale in Winter which is a great extension of the original.

Our daughter loves whales and this book! The story is cute, the pictures are nice, and the quality if the board book is very good. We normally buy used boos from the thrift shop because it’s so much less expensive, but for special occasions I like to get a couple of nice and new books that you can’t find everywhere. This was definitely worth it.

Thank goodness I bought two copies of this book because otherwise I wouldn't have a gift for my nephew. Everything about this book is wonderful. I love the artist's palette and each page is beautiful. The text is spare, but perfect. There are so many wonderful details to enjoy -- a cat peeking out from its position on a shelf, the two mugs and cookies that Noi has set out for himself and his rescued whale, the texture of rain falling on the sea, and so much more. Adults and children will cherish this book.

My kids love to read this book. I love that there is a "second part" cause it's just a beautiful, sweet and delightful book.

Great book and illustrations

This was a re-buy as a classroom gift. Our original and much-loved copy stays at home.Charming story of a small boy who explores his little sea-side world. He has ideas about how his father will react, and finds they have much to share!We have read and reread many times.

My four year old son is obsessed with whales, fishing and the sea. He loves it! I love it because it's beautifully illustrated. It is very quiet and poetic. It gives you space to think. The paintings add a lot to the story, and gives us the opportunity to have a conversation about the book. It makes me happy when my son is captured by something that is not violent or overly dramatic.

Bought this for my daughter, she loves Noi and so do I. And Benji’s illustrations are ❤️❤️❤️

My almost 5 year old daughter got this for Christmas and she absolutely loves this book. She asks me to read it over and over again at bedtime. The story is simple to follow, not too long and the pictures are a work of art. Highly recommend.

Meus pequenos amaram . Eles já tinha a versão em português e em inglês foi ótimo . Eles se divertem com a história e com o nome do personagem.

Like I said, everything is right about this book. As this was a gift to my 30 year old fiancé I can promise it will paint a smile not only in a little kids face ;)
