Meh. My expectations were higher. I was hoping that the leather holder would stay "connected" so that it couldn't get lost. Unfortunately the leather connector (vinyl, not leather), is really just a strap that is completely separate from the blanket, so once removed you have to keep track of it.Also, the blanket relies completely on glue, vs "stitch based quilting"; while this is probably actually a good thing for waterproofing, it just makes it seem kind of cheap, and I worry about how the heat of washing and drying will effect it over time.Since these are all just a matter of personal taste, I'm still giving it a high rating, as technically it meets its design scope as an outdoor travel blanket, though I think the price is ultimately too high for what it is.

Absolutely LOVE this blanket! I would recommend it for anyone. It is definitely waterproof, we have used it on the damp ground and wet sand without anything seeping through it. The carrying case (leather straps) is separate from the blanket itself and personally I really like this feature. Many blankets have the case attached (or zipper area) however I find I like being able to remove the case entirely from the blanket area. No chance of sitting inadvertently on a zipper :) The top of this blank is soft and yet sturdy. This washes well in the washing machine on normal cycle, just hang dry or dry on low/no heat.

Finally had our first picnic using our Christmas gifts. nice large size, we did notice to be careful to step on the blanket cause it will absorb the water from the soles. but otherwise was great. kept us dry during our movies in the park

Great picnic blanket. Washable, and one side is vinyl to lay against the ground, the other side soft fabric.

Best thing I ever bought! I love love love it! It is perfect for traveling. I strap it to the bottom of my backpack!
