A Christmas Story Treasury: A Tribute to the Original, Traditional, One-Hundred-Percent, Red-Blooded, Two-Fisted, All-American Holiday Movie

There's not a whole lot to this book. It's the kind of coffee table book you might put out on the table over the holidays. A few guests might page through it while one very interested guest could read the entire thing in a half hour or so.There main draws to this book are:1. It contains a number of portrait shots of the cast members that were no doubt taken to promote the film. I doubt many people have seen these pix over the years.2. There's a column of buttons down the right side of the book - press them and you'll be treated to Jean Shepherd's voice reciting narrator lines from the film.3. The book contains a number of nifty souvenirs that are housed in a sleeve bound into the back flap. These include a facsimile of the Western Union telegram announcing the imminent delivery of The Old Man's major award (that telegram discloses the first name of the Old Man for possibly the first time.)4. The text contains a few observances about the film by Bob Clark and others.Recommended for fans of the movie who are looking for a light read and what amounts to a Xmas decoration for your table.

Awesome. Wow. My son will love it as any true fan would. Even has audio :) Bonus was all the momentos that are in a pocket attached to the inside of the back cover. The telegram, Ralphies school theme, recipes and more! All the insider info that is offered in the book is wonderful. Ok, now just have to wait for Christmas.....

A really nice book for lovers of the movie. A great coffe table took to share with your guests and family. It's made very nicely and with high quality and has a nice weight. Not cheaply made at all.

Excellent hard-copy presentation of the major scenes and story elements. Well-written and quite comprehensive; charming behind-the-scenes commentary and tidbits, and overall just a fun and funny item. My husband and I are huge fans of A CHRISTMAS STORY and he loved getting this book for Christmas!

With accompanying sounds you can enjoy the experience all year round. Great for kids or the the family coffee table, because the gang will have fun leafing thru it while they wait for dinner.

A great book full of fun facts on the movie. IT has great pictures too. I love the movie and had to have this book.
