Get what you pay for.
I thought I was getting a steal of a deal for this camera. I've had other people pick this up and recommend it but being someone who regularly take video for car purposes, this has made me super upset. I hate the 10 minute max for videos, really makes it hard to make compilations. Also, for some reason unbeknownst to me, it overwrite my other videos. It'll make at 4-5 videos on my 64GB card which is a class 10 card, and then I lose any previous footage. Super irritating. I guess you get what you pay for. For what video it does keep, it's decently quality. Needs a better mic, too.

Could be great but suffers from self-inflicted wounds
Camera could be great but has a couple fatal flaws that doom it.Pros:1) Amazing video (when you can actually see what you shot)2) Great included accessories and all the aftermarket ones for Go Pro fit the camera.3) Fantastic price compared to Go Pro4) Shoots good photosCons:1) The depth of info in the user manual is completely inadequate. There are an extensive number of settings, none of which have any descriptions in the one page paper that comes with this.2) Perhaps related to issue 1, this camera deletes video it just shot when you start a new one. I have a massive, top of the line storage drive on this that provides space for more than 7 hours of video and more than 10,000 videos, but it deletes shot video without rhyme or reason and we have lost some one of a kind moments which is as infuriating as it was heartbreaking.3) Less important, but the battery life is poor. We overcame this by buying several inexpensive aftermarket batteries. This fixes this problem.Bottom line, The hard part is creating the camera, the easy part should be including a decent manual explaining how to use it and what the settings do. Also, I am not aware of a camera on the planet that deletes what you just shot when you start shooting anew, and for that reason alone I would recommend that people consider other brands. The only way we can use this camera is to shoot a single video, take it inside, download it to safeguard it, and then head back out. That makes it not useless, but one step removed from useless.I am willing to change my review and stars if someone can point out a setting that will make this stop deleting videos we just shot.

FANTASTIC Go-PRO knock off!
PRO: Fantastic price for Go-Pro qualityCON: Copied the "Go-Pro"ASX ActionPro Black - 4K Ultra HD Wifi Sports...is a knock off of the Go-Pro, pure and simple. My daughter begged me to let her purchase this Go-Pro knock off and if it was not for the fantastic customer service Amazon offers and full refund I would have said ,"No!" But we took the chance and I allowed her to order the ASX ActionPro Black - 4K Ultra HD Wifi Sports Camera for her High School Graduation gift and Oh my, it is absolutely top quality and we could not be happier. We are shocked at the absolute quality of this camera and the accessories and her videos are just as good as her brother's Go-Pro. Very happy!

File overwriting solved and 4k video at 25fps
Bought this as a replacement for my SJ 4000 which was lost to the sea. Really went with this instead of another sj4000 because of the slow motion capabilities so I'll be comparing this asx camera to the sjcam sj4000 due to their similar pricepoint and my experience . First things first, like most people I've been having problems with the camera overwriting videos when switched off then on again, after some research turns out this camera needs and SD card formatted in fat32, I already purchased a samsung 64 gb pro which cannot ordinarily be formatted like that. To solve that issue i downloaded a free program, EaseUS, it's simple to use and there are tutorials online on how to do it. This solved the overwriting problem. Please note this camera records in 10 minute segments only, I believe this was done on purpose by the manufacturer to keep file sizes below the capabilities of the Fat32 formatting. This camera is identical to the Eken H9 and there is a huge online community where support is easily available. If you want to upgrade the firmware to be able to record 4k at 25fps and 2.7k at 30fps, there're simple tutorials on how to do this online so wont go into detail here, the process is very straightforward. Be warned though that if you do the upgrade you will lose the ability to record in 720p on the whole, will retain 1080p at 60 fps though. For my purposes I bought this for recording in slow motion and all my screens are 1080p anyway so i didn't upgrade. Now that those issues are addressed, can move on to the actual review. Had the camera for about 5 days now and I've noticed that it gets surprisingly hot after about 20 minutes of recording. On one occasion I was using it as a dash cam and I can only assume that the heat from the windshield added to this, to the point where it didn't save the video! I live in a hot climate and I can see this being a problem for me, but that was the only time, after properly formatting the sd card, that I've had the video not save. I haven't timed the battery life yet but what I can say is that the 900mah batteries from my sj4000 gets drained considerably less than the claimed 1050mah batteries the asx came with, but not a deal breaker for me since i have 2 sj4000 batteries and i bought extra batteries and a charger along with the asx.The other major issue I have is with the waterproof case, the back door does not seem to close fully but I have no doubt it will still seal out the water, yet to try it more than a few feet under the surface though. The case itself seems to be of lower quality that what the sj4000 had, that one was more akin to the dive housing for the gopro rather than the standard housing like this, I would suggest picking up one of those if you intend to use this camera for diving just to be safe. All in all for the same price as the sj4000, it's not a bad deal considering the ability to shoot slowmotion videos, but the lack of care by the manufacturer is evident in the overheating and lack of compatibility with exfat formatting which is where it lost 2 stars. I would have taken another star for the waterproof case but it seems sealed enough for going underwater, it definitely is sealed air tight.I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cheap camera with slow motion or 4k capabilities (as said before though, you can only choose one with this camera). But if you're fine with a max of 1080p at 30fps for the same price as this camera but none of the drawbacks, go with the sj4000.

Disappointed.
I bought this camera specifically for underwater use. It claims to be compatible to all GoPro accessories, but it's not. For underwater use, it was going to be paired with a Backscatter Flip3.1 filter which is designed for GoPro 3, 3+ and 4. It does not fit the lens port of this ASX case. Do not purchase this camera expecting it to be compatible with GoPro accessories, except the base attachment.
