Looks Nice and Protects my Nest in a High Traffic Area
I was looking for something that would protect the edges of my Nest in my narrow hallway while also looking aesthetically pleasing. This fits all my needs perfectly. We have had a couple people bump into the Nest and had zero issues with it coming loose from the wall.The wall plate was easy to install and fits snugly, but does not interfere with the use of the thermostat. If you look at the pictures you can see the clearance between the thermostat and the plate.The wall plate is very well made and blends in well even if it doesn't perfectly match my moldings. I would highly recommend it.

Well made. Fits the thermostat. It matched the trim almost perfectly. My wife commented on how beautiful it looks. Well worth the price is you want to get away from the industrial look of Honeywell thermostat that I replaced.

Attractive but must be modified to work
Nice, expensive and needs the back modified pockets drilled to allow it to fit up to the Nest steel base plate/electric box adapter.

Looks Great; Makes the Nest Stand Out (in a pleasant way)
This wall plate looks sharp. It really makes the Nest pop, but not in an obnoxious way. It sort of reminds me of HAL from Space Odyssey (especially when the Nest is orange when the heat is running), which makes it extra awesome.I would have given it 5 stars, but at $45 for a wall plate, I did not expect it to have scuffs on it when it arrived. Otherwise, 5/5.

Poor stain quality.
The stain application was awful. There was a coat of clear on top of it so I had to sand the stain hole plate to bare wood and re-stain it. The construction of the plate is ok, just the stain quality was poor.

Came Damaged, Finish is Chipped and Unavailable for Replacement
Looks ok for the price. Unfortunately this came with damage in several places and the finish is chipped in those places. At the time of this review, the wall plate i unavailable so i can't even get a replacement.

Makes the fancy tech fit in better!
I love this. I bought it and painted it the same color as the rest of the trim in the hallway. I makes the Nest look like it has a home on the wall, instead of being just a bright Iron-Man type circle on the wall in my circa 1953 house. Serves as a great visual anchor. I definitely should have sanded it before putting that first coat of paint on it, the paint made some of the flaws stand out immediately that I didn't feel when I got it. Other than that, it is really perfect, just sand it some more.

Beautiful!
Our Nest thermostat is in our dining room and it is classic Italian in decoration. We wanted something classier around the thermostat and saw this. It was a breeze to install it was beautiful craftsmanship and a lovely finish. Can't say enough as it was a beautiful addition to the dining room.
