Best models on the market!
These are extremely detailed and look so much better when finished than any toy figure you can buy. I used no glue and no paint on mine. Though if you're going to use the blaster it will need some white paint as it is solid black. The instructions are super easy to follow even though there's no English on them. Bandai is top notch.

A very well designed and manufactured model kit that only Bandai could produce!
A very well designed and manufactured model kit that only Bandai could produce! Please be advised, that even though this is primarily a snap kit, there are small pieces to consider while building (most American snap kits traditionally have large parts, as they are geared more towards children and first time model builders.) All parts fit very snug and for the most part, seam lines disappear. You'll have the choice to either use water-slide decals or stickers for detailing. I tend to use both, depending on the surface detail. You can also choose to paint the kit or leave it in the molded colors, which I think is actually sufficient. Just add a little weathering and you're done. I HIGHLY recommend buying and assembling the BANDAI series of Star Wars plastic model kits, you WON'T be disappointed!

"I'm a stormtrooper. But in my first battle, I made a choice."
I decided I wanted this kit the last time I watched The Force Awakens, saw Finn's trooper buddy get gunned down by Poe Dameron... re-watch the scene if that's a surprise!... and smear those now-iconic blood streaks onto Finn's helmet. Since I'm well aware of the high quality of Bandai's model kits from my experience building Gundams, I figured that this one would make for a good project. Happily, I was right.Bandai's attention to detail when designing kits is on full display here. The high-gloss white plastic nicely replicates the sheen of a stormtrooper's "plastoid" armor. Subtle detail like the clasps for holding pieces of the armor together, the ribbing on the body glove (unique to the First Order version of the stormtrooper), and knobs on the rifle's scope are all to be found. Instructions, though written in Japanese, are clear, and the build is quick and easy. You get some options: there are open hands, fists, and hands with trigger fingers. You can build the blaster rifle in its standard configuration or with extended stock attached. Fans of "TR-8R" from the movie will love the inclusion of the stun baton and riot shield. Curiously absent is an officer's pauldron, a single piece that could have added a dash of color to a straight out of the box build.Such a build will give you an impressive, ready-for-action soldier, but if you want screen-accuracy, get ready for some detail painting. All the hands and weapons are molded in solid black, but should have a good amount of white highlights on them. Painting white over black was a bit of a pain, but doable with a few coats of craft acrylics. Every area that needs paint is bordered by recessed lines on the parts.Finn had a bit of trouble standing on his own, but his foot fits firmly into the included base, which took care of the problem. Articulation is great, offering more options for posing than an action figure would, but there's a catch. Flex the arms or legs too much and you'll clearly see that there's no actual arms or legs under the armor! This was a little disappointing, as I originally wanted to pose Finn with his hands grasping his helmet, as if he was about to take it off.Despite the gripes, building and personalizing this was relaxing and fun. I'll certainly be looking into more Bandai Star Wars kits, and since my Finn may want new trooper buddies... thanks, Poe... I'm glad to see that the cool new variants from Rogue One are on the way!

A great amount of fun
A great amount of fun. I burned thought this thing over the course of a few hours and couldn't stop. Never been a big model builder before - too many steps with glue, paint, etc. The fact this is just all snap together was really fun. Fit and finish and thought that went into the design is incredible. Will be getting more of these Bandai models.

Great model kit
This was my first Bandai model kit, and it made me a fan of Bandai Star Wars models. It was also my first snap together kit as well. No painting necessary but I did paint some of the detail on the model vice using the water slide decals. There is only one part on the belt that keeps falling off that I may end up glueing. I don't collect Black Series but do collect S.H. Figuarts Star Wars action figures. The Bandai First Order Stormtrooper is taller (slightly bigger) than the Figuarts First Order Stormtrooper. You can still display them together but he/she is taller so if you are looking for all uniform height figures it won't be if you mix and match.

Good looking figure but a bit unstable
Nice model with the baton, shield, and a blaster that can be held on his right thigh. The only real complaints are the water marks which are a bit hard to apply in certain surfaces, and the boots' shape which makes it less stable in comparison to the other SW bandai kits, they do provide a stand which works to stabilize the figure if you don't mind the look.

Amazing figure, and so much fun to build
Absolute fun to build and quite easy. Looks great when finished with very nice articulation.
