Impressed with these right out of the box. Update 3-20-2023... Upgrade to 5 stars.
The Tubes sat for the winter with no issues and minimal air loss. So far they've seen around 200 miles of mostly paved roads inside Specialized Hemispheres with no sealant. The only two things I've noticed are:As the instruction booklet indicates, check your pressure once a month. Sometimes they need a little air, sometimes they don't.Check the lock rings on the valve stems every now and then. For some reason, mine usually are loose after several rides. No complaints with the tubes and will be checking Schwalbe tires out in the future as well.Original Review below...There's a story to purchasing these Schwalbes. These are the third set of tubes I've bought for a bicycle that has traveled less than 10 miles on the first two sets of tubes I purchased. If you want to learn more on this, you can check my reviews to read about my experiences with Bell and Slime Tubes.First and foremost, if you are looking for tubes, order rim strips or rim tape. None of the three sets of tubes I've ordered came with rim strips. For what it's worth, this bicycle has Kenda strips. They are heavy and feel kind of like the strips I grew up with from the 70's/80's.Out of the box these tubes scared me. Then, they impressed me.The fear was due to the fact that I saw a metal threaded valve, with lock ring, as I removed the tube from the box. Immediately I thought I had mis-ordered, or Presta valves had been sent to me. I had never seen a Schrader valve like this on a bicycle tube. After getting over my surprise, I began to become impressed. There was a small, illustrated, instruction manual in the box. Something, I'd never seen with tubes before. The tubes also have clear valve covers, which was another new thing to me. I would advise being careful with these when you take them off, as it is easy to lose them. The tube itself has a relatively heavy/sturdy/rubber feel to it and isn't slippery, or nylon feeling like some other tubes. It's heavier than Slime tubes in construction, however, Slime tubes are heavier in weight due to the sealant inside them. They are not as heavy in construction as the Bell tubes, which reminded me of the tubes I grew up with in the mid 70's and early 80's.The Schwalbe kind of felt like a narrow 80's road bike tube used to, but with a refined build. When I lightly aired them up, I noticed that, unlike tubes I'm familiar with, these didn't have the typical hour glass/pinched shape around the valve. There were also no, ribs or casting marks near the valve stems. These tubes, when lightly inflated, were round and looked like a tire when placed on the rim for the photo.Based on my installation experience, I would recommend that you leave the lock ring on the valve stem loose when you bring the tire up to final pressure. On the first tube, I snugged the lock ring securely against the rim, then began filling it to full pressure. As the tube was inflating, I noticed the tire was not seating around the valve area. I released pressure, loosened the lock ring, made sure the valve was straight and brought it up to full pressure and the tire seated. I did the rear without locking the valve in and it inflated and seated perfectly. So, I'm guessing if you lock the valve in place under light pressure, the tube can't properly inflate in that area as you bring it up to full pressure.I'd give these 5 stars based on my experience so far. However, based on my other tube experiences (one going from 4 stars to 1 star and the other holding 4) I want to wait and see how they do. I will update this review, based on their performance.Like the previous tubes, these have been installed on an old 2003 GT Palomar with 26 x 1.95 Specialized Hemisphere tires. The tubes have been inflated to 55-60lbs, with no sealant and will be used on paved back roads and easy trails, with a 220-230 lb rider. At this point, a Bell (that was previously installed twice), is my spare.Hope this helps.Good Luck tube hunting and ride safe.

Great, durable inner tubes that work perfectly.
I was looking to replace the inner tubes of by old Schwinn bicycle. These tubes work like a charm! Once inflated they have yet to deflate. I especially love that they include a washer that holds the valve in place when connecting the pump without the hassle of the valve pushing itself inside the wheel. Definitely recommend these tubes!

Fits a very wide range of tires
I use Schwalbe Big Ben & Big Apple rear tires & decided to try these tubes over 10 years ago as they can be used with my narrower front and wider rears, no problem, from 1.5" to 2.5". They are all I use now, especially the AV13, you pay more but get more. I've had one QC failure where the tube got a long split along a seam. It's still the only tube I'll use - my commuter is just under 400lbs, yes, 400lbs when fully loaded. I have to have rear wheels hand made by one of two guys or they fail, but I don't worry and even carry one as a spare along with a repair kit.

Great tubes
They work great & price is very reasonable. I've been running one of these tubes now for at least a few years and still going strong. Haven't even needed the 2nd included tube yet. Threads on the steam are solid, no issue threading an adapter on for standard air pump nozzles. Nothing to complain about, they're just good tubes.

Excellent quality
Going forward, this is the only inner tube I will buy. The quality difference is notable. Fit my 26" x 2.15 perfectly and the stems seem very heavy duty.

Best stems
I've never used tires with fully threaded stems. These are great. I don't get to ride as much as I'd like, so my tires are pretty low on pressure when I do. Refilling before a ride was always a minor hassle fighting the stem with an air chuck. The threaded stem make sure the tube is fixed in place, no shifting in the tire, and its fixed in place when I have to air them up.
