I've purchased 2 cable kits for phones with faulty mics. Upon opening the kits I've noticed that the cables have excessive glue and glue residue on different parts. The installation of the first cable went OK and once the phone was put back together the faulty mic was working as expected. However, when I plugged to charge the phone it started getting hot and in a matter of less than 2 min it became way too hot (it was not doing that with the original Apple part prior the replacement), so I had to remove it from the charger. I'm returning the second kit and will look for another brand. Would not recommend.

It was slightly difficult to get lined up with the frame but it was doable. Also you’ve got to be very careful when removing the plastic from the gold adhesive backing. Gave it a 5 star because it worked!

After opening my iPHONR 7 Plus to also replace the battery, it was verified that this item is not compatible and cannot be installed in the iPHONE 7 Plus. The connection (should have 2 connections for the screen and this item only has one and is in the wrong area!).

Should have looked at the words better. They spelled black wrong. Red Flag 🚩 Maybe other orders were sent different versions of what I received. Hopefully I can find the correct item somewhere else.

After installing this charging port for iPhone 7 plus the home button stopped vibrating but fingerprint still works.
