Helpful but not entirely accurate
I bought this so my boyfriend could do some engine work on my Mazda which was leaking oil. He used this book in conjunction with various online forums to figure out how to do the work. He discovered a few errors such as notch positions/locations of at least one part (which I can't remember) to be installed. Also at least one part number was labelled incorrectly in the book. This book was the single most informative source of mazda 3 information we found and was very helpful in figuring out how to do the work and my car which now runs like new again.

Pays for itself
This book paid for itself just on the changing of the cabin air filter. A good book to have for supplementing any mechanical knowledge you already have. It sure helps with the decision to do it yourself or go find a mechanic.

Chilton Manual
I have bought Chliton manuals previously and this one is as good as the others. I feel that the Chiltons are a better value than the Haynes Manuals that are available. This has direct information on the vehicle that its designed for and not just basic information that's universal to all vehicles.

Having a Chilton or Haynes manual in your vehicle is just as important as having a spare tire.
The Chilton manual is a great book to carry in every vehicle. You never know when you'll need to know the correct recommended fluid or repair process while on the road; and if it helps whoever borrowed your ride for an afternoon find and replace an important fuse, even better.
