The game works fine but did not come in its original case

Minor freezes, but it still works
I got this game to play on my PS2. It just had a few freezes. I cleaned the disc, and gave the console a little reset. Yet, as long as the freezes don’t last too long and not happen too often, the game still works fine.

Waste.
Game is not in fully playable condition and VERY frequently crashes. I can't even finish the story and almost wasn't able to start it until I had to wipe the disc off fresh out of the case. And no, my ps2 slim doesn't have any problems with its disc reader. I have a multitude of old renewed/refurbished ps2 games it has no issue reading. Update: I can't even create an ISO for PCSX2 with the disc, so it is completely unusable in various regards, colossal waste of money, and quite unfortunate as the only other way to get this game is via GameCube.
