Pretty cool drum pad for what it is! I hooked it up to a set of powered external computer speakers (as well as ear plugs and head phones) and it works great. I bought it for my 20 year old son for a dorm room environment and he thinks its pretty cool. (Not comparable his Simmons or DW kits but it's small, portable and under the circumstances, better than nothing). It's only been a few days but so far so good. My 21 year old nephew saw it and dug it! He's a musician and is recording his own music. He likes the fact that its small and can be hooked up to the USB port to record drum tracks for his demos. So I just purchased a second one for him one as well. Hopefully if treated right, and not abused, these will last a long time.

I like that this product is compact and it can be easily transported. It also comes with a outlet for headphones or a speaker. So that my little one can play the drums quietly.

This worked for about 5 minutes. I read the reviews and hoped we would be one of the lucky ones. That said, he loved it for those 5 minutes.

short cable for use with plug in, should be longer. Was surprised the item does not have a built in speaker at all. limited variety of patterns on it. small pad areas makes it harder to coordinate rythms. fun for kids to play on but wouldnt simulate movements or experience of a real drum set.

I bought this for my son to practwho has shown good aptitude for playing the drums, and is waiting until we can afford a full kit later in the new year. First off, it is a great idea for a practice pad when you dont have a drum set. The sounds emitted from this pad are surprisingly sufficient...I was impressed! I love the fact that there is a choice to use headphones or an external speaker. So the downside, The pedals didn't work right out of the box. After a week, certain pads would either cut out and not play randomly or play the wrong sound. Dont know what thats about. Anyway, I dont have the money to return them after providing for 4 kiddos at Christmas and 2 birthdays, and car repairs....Im broke. Stuck with a great idea that doesn't work properly.

First, you need an external speaker, doesn't come with a speaker.Second it doesn't come with batteries. If you BUY batteries, it is set up to recharge when you plug it in,Third it only comes with USB. Can add a cell phone plug but it only comes with USB.I plugged it into an external speaker (comes with the cable which was great) and into my laptop for power.Worked great! Easy... you can change the sound, record, have background music! Great product!

I bought this for my 6 year old for Christmas. I love that it has almost everything you need, you just need a speaker or headphones to hook it to. It came with all the needed cables. The only downside is that the pedals have a loud "click" noise as you push them. My son doesn't mind but I think it distracts from the electronic sound they made. Someday he might graduate to a real drum set, but for now this is perfect. Also we keep everything stored in the original box, it's a nice small size that stores easily.

The first one I bought didn't have any sound but I returned it and got a second one that worked fine. My daughter has been playing the drums for about a year. She had a 5-piece junior drum set but because they used a full drum set at school she didn't want to practice at home because it was missing some toms and cymbals and it threw her off. She wanted the full electronic drum set but I refused to pay that much until she could show me she'd actually use it so I got her this one as a compromise and she loves it. I love it because it has headphones and it's so small it folds up nicely into a little box and can be put in the closet. Her big drum set took up residence in my master bedroom collecting dust and got rearranged every time we cleaned and has since been sold (yay!). It's very basic but for practicing a beat it's great and so much more convenient than an actual drum set.
