Works great - but go to YouTube to learn to install
Pulled my PM-3s out of storage for a long trip where I wanted them to use on the plane and to use in a studio recording session at the destination....alas half way through the recording session the pleather was turning to dust! Found a nylon zipper tube hereon Amazon that covered up the deteriorating headband and also these ear pad replacements. While some reviewers had issues with earlier batches of these, the tach I had fit onto the retaining rings fairly easily.. Just enough stretch to get over the rings without too much fuss and also tight enough so you know it's going to stay put until you can get everything back together. There's an excellent YouTube video from Home Studio Basics on the process to install..a must to see before tackling this. Like other reviewers have said use a butter knife to pop the old earpads off WITH the retention ring first which makes the removal of the tired pads from the retention rings much easier. The more time you take fine tuning the new pads onto the rings , the better the end result will look. The trickiest part to this was getting the retention rings to pop back into place onto the headphone housing as there;s no real guide or sense that they are in the exact spot they belong where they will click into place. I found it helpful to keep the headphones a flat surface and gently with the heel of my hand press on the edges til there was the audible click. Sound quality and comfort etc. were back to being as good as new so very nice to get more years out of what is sill a stellar headphone.

Comfortable, good looking replacement for flaking original pads on my Oppo PM3.
Nothing to dislike about these - read about these pads online and they are fantastic as others have said. Very easy to install (just read instructions in earlier review), super soft like the originals, quality seems good, no sound degradation to my ears, and a bargain - what’s not to like!

Perfect replacement for my Oppo PM-3 Headphones
My Oppo PM-3 headphone pads were falling apart after sitting in a box for years. I’m glad I found these because I was leaving little black specs of fake leather everywhere! These were easy to install and fit perfect.

SUITABLE REPLACEMENT FOR OPPO PM-3
A LITTLE TRICKY TO INSTALL AND A LITTLE LARGER THAN THE ORIGINALS. SOUND QUALITY SEEMS UNCHANGED. NOT QUITE AS SOFT BUT AT LEAST THEY DO NOT SHED AND FALL APART

Did not fit properly, had to modify to install on Oppo PM-3s
It seems well made, but when I removed the old pads and installed these, the 6 tab-holes were now covered by the material so I could not reinstall the pads/plates.I had to use an Exacto knife to modify the pads so I could reinstall them.

Much better than the original pads
These ear pads for Oppo PM3 are a great replacement for the original ear pads that came with the headphones, much softer and feels like real material instead of synthetic leather. I have been able to enjoy my headphones for a longer period of time since I put these on the Oppos much more comfortable and does a better job of blocking out distractions.

Not quite there
I ordered a pair of these to replace my aging PM3 earpads. The install went pretty smooth although I had to sacrifice my original pads for the plastic ring. The main reason I marked this down is because of how it changes the sound - highs became rolled off and the mid range and bass became muddy.Until Oppo digital no longer carries replacement ear pads, I am unable to recommend these.

Supple leather! Installed easy!!
Great quality genuine leather. Amazing for the price. Installation is much easier than I thought. Don't be intimidated. Make sure to use a guitar pick (thick one) or a credit card to pry the plastic earpad base from the headphones. Position the earpad, and pull and tuck the leather evenly behind the 6 tabs before snapping the base back into position. It took me 5-10 minutes right before hitting the pillow when I was half asleep :)

Oppo PM-3 replacement ear pads
Nice quality real sheepskin leather pads that hopefully won’t disintegrate like the original ones. Very comfortable and don’t alter the sound.

Excellent choice
This is the second time I have bought this product, shortly after my first buy. The product fits so nicely and is so comfortable that I decided to buy a backup, given the frequent use I make with the headphones. Thank you for an excellent product, which lengthens the life of the headphone itself.

Comfortable, and improved sound quality
Better materials than the original pads, greater comfort, greater sound isolation.Fitting these to the PM3s isn't the easiest, but is perfectly doable if you follow a Youtube video—I had no issues. The pads aren't quite as neat as the originals, but this was to be expected with the change to real leather.Surprisingly the sound quality was noticeably improved over the—worn and degrading—original pads. I can hear more detail, the lower frequencies are fuller, and there's much more sound isolation.New life in the headphones, and what seems like a nice upgrade in sound.

Klasse!

Not worth the sacrifice
I'll start by saying that these cost me $42AUD which is nearly half the price of the first party replacements that are still available through Oppo Digital ($79), so I decided to take a risk on the back of the overwhelmingly positive reviews.Installing the replacement pads is a real struggle, there are no instructions and it is extremely finicky -thankfully Simon's Amazon review provides in-depth instructions.Very important to note is that installation requires that you sacrifice your originals pads to cannibalise the plastic ring - this is a real issue should you not like these replacements. I would have much preferred to pay a few more dollars for the convenience and ability to retain the originals.Build quality is average and it is apparent on first inspection where the saving went. Stitching is inconsistent and they feel pretty average to the touch around the edges and stitching, which I found especially noticeable when removing. The leather coverage is a bit asymmetrical but would not be obvious at a glance. The ear opening is marginally smaller than the original and is slightly less comfortable for me. The foam is rather comfortable and I didn't notice a change in apparent clamping pressure. Similarly to Randy's review I found these replacements noticeably changed the sound profile - I found the mids and bass sounded muddied. Unfortunately there is no going back thanks to sacrificing the originals. In conclusion I simply cannot recommend these as long as first party replacements are still available. While the originals may be nearly double the price, they lasted nearly 5 years. When you consider that we are talking audiophile grade headphones, the rather small saving simply isn't worth it.
