Yardley Of London English Lavender Eau de Toilette Spray for Women, 4.2 Ounce

My first impression was that it was very soapy or powdery smelling, but I think after you've used it once, that particular scent goes away. It's not a pure lavender which is expected since it's more fragrances than just that, but it's a lovely scent that grows on you. Not overly floral or anything, and not too strong that it'll bother other people. You can still smell it throughout most of the day if you're paying attention. I've never used this brand before so can't comment much on any changes. I'd be wary of the reviews claiming it doesn't last longer than a minute or smells like alcohol because of what c*vid has done to people's noses lol. I tested it by spraying on my wrist, and it lasted through a hot shower and washing my hands multiple times until the end of the day. Smelling the concentrated perfume itself it just smells like pure lavender, I can't detect even a hint of alcohol.

Cant even count how many times I've bought this for my mom. It's a staple of hers and she wears it daily. Light fresh scent that she loves

I REMEMBER WEARING THIS IN THE 70'S AND LOVED THE SCENT. THIS BOTTLE I PURCHASED DOES NOT HAVE A STRONG LAVENDER SCENT THAT I HAD HOPED FOR. STILL NICE BUT WOULD NOT PURCHASE AGAIN.

I was really excited for this perfume because I had a Yardley lavender body spray that I loved and hoped this perfume would be a longer-lasting equivalent. Unfortunately, there are strong notes of pepper that come through giving it a more masculine smell IMO. However, the bottle is big for the price, but it definitely isn't as light and floral smelling as I'd hoped. I've just learned to apply it layered with other fragrances and that has worked well for me. I will say that I got a bottle for my mom and she loves it, so maybe my nose is just sensitive, I don't know. It does last a decent amount of time too, so there's that.

Smells NOTHING like Yardley English Lavender which I’ve used for years! It’s either watered down drastically or very old and degraded! I’m unaware of Yardley changing their formula. This is way too sweet, watery and smells nothing at all like ANY lavender product ever! It’s really AWFUL!

I don’t like wearing a scent that is obvious. This Yardley scent reminds me of years gone by. I’m not disappointed!

There's nothing wrong with the scent, per se, but it doesn't smell much like lavender. It has a hint of lavender but is other wise a huge soapy-scented powder bomb. If that's your thing, you'll love it. I'll use it as a linen spray or something when I want to be reminded of my grandmother.

The smell is nice, but it’s a little strong for my taste so I’ll be using it lightly. I’m guessing it will tone done through out the day. Love the smell (just strong) and it has a cute bottle. 👍
