Britain's The Orb -- aka Alex Paterson and Thomas Fehlmann are one of the most influential electronic acts to grace Kompakt. Okie Dokie It's The Orb On Kompakt is the duo's thirteenth album, and it proves to be a sonic collage of intensive, lovingly-conjured quiet ambience. The first half of Okie Dokie showcases right up front The Orb's love for minimal techno as still as water and schaffel/shuffle, while the second half is reserved for the classic Orb-ish ancestral domain of trance-inducing, pulsating ambience.
