Ergonomic, No Mess Garlic Press with a Twist, Crusher and Mincer, Green

I really wanted to like this product. It is certainly easier to use - taller and fits in the hand better. It's a breeze to smash garlic.BIG FLAW 1) the spaced out pokies that help grind garlic also make it very difficult to get your garlic out (compared to other brands)BIGGER FLAW 2) there is a seam on the top part that is not entirely closed and the large open space gets filled with water with no way to get it out. It will just slosh around in there getting moldier and moldier. I used it only 1x and this happened immediately. Useless.

[EDITED!}Here's what I initially wrote after about two weeks of ownership: "This little gadget is a wonder. Easily turns two or three cloves of garlic at a time into small, usable bits. As with a standard garlic press, the bits are more shredded than minced. But unlike with a standard garlic press, it's easy to get the shredded garlic out of this thingy, which is also a snap to clean. Highly recommend."Now, about three weeks later, I'm retracting four of my five stars. The same thing happened to me as to another reviewer: the enclosed part of the top of the gadget got water in it in the dishwasher, and there's no way to get it out. Bad manufacturing. I will have to throw it out.

Background- i'm a college student that barely cooks/knows how, but I'm obsessed with garlic and this thing has upped my garlic pasta game. I used to just chop up the cloves as small as possible, but with this thing, the food i make has a lot more flavor, and i'm not stuck eating giant chunks of garlic. It's not hard to clean either, and i fit about 4-5 big cloves in at a time.

I'm usually super anti one-purpose kitchen devices, but this thing is awesome. My boyfriend bought me one a few years ago and now I'm spreading the gospel to all my friends. It shreds it finely so you get the juice as well as the pulp, doesn't leave that nasty film like garlic presses, and can fit a couple cloves in easily. It's also easy cleanup if you do so RIGHT AWAY. If you let it sit without rinsing it, the crusty stuff is probably difficult to get off. For garlic lovers where 3-4 cloves is the norm, this is a must have.

Didn't like the texture of the garlic and it was hard to get the garlic out of hte press. If you are proficient w/a knife, would go that route.More trouble, but you get the texture and cut desired w/a knife. Cleans easily. No left over garlic smell. It the cutting blades were finer, I believe the product would be better

This is legitimately the BEST garlic press I have ever used. I'm mad that I didn't buy one sooner. I've been struggling with a cheap garlic press for years and threw it in the trash after buying this. It's so easy to clean and gives perfect minced garlic in a few twists!

love this thing! I hate mincing garlic and had resorted to the jarred stuff. After growing a year's supply of garlic in my garden, I was determined to get back to using the fresh stuff. I was so excited when I saw this gadget and promptly ordered one. It makes very quick work out of a tedious task. Would another in a heartbeat if I lost this one.

I just bought my second No Mess Garlic Press. Not for myself -- this is so well made that I doubt I'll ever need to replace it. I bought this one for a friend who loves to cook and makes many things with garlic. It is so easy to use (look at the directions for best results) and even easier to clean. Wipe it out and put it away until next time or throw it in the dishwasher.
