I am giving this product 5 stars even though I did have an issue because I initially received the wrong camera. They earned the 5 stars back because I contacted their customer service. They were very professional and corrected the issue immediately at no cost to me. To me customer service is most important to make happy clients. Next, I do want to say that I installed the camera and it works perfect. Looks and feels to be a good quality product. I can only hope that it gives me years of service.

Good color; matched the chrome of my Altima's trunk lid handle.Used an external monitor, where the Monitor’s power (Positive) is linked back to the camera via the Video Cable (there is a red cable on both end of the video cable) and the camera’s power (Positive) is connected (tapped) to the Reverse Light. The Ground (-) are connected to the chassis.Testing the camera for the optimal mounting location for coverage took the most time. I wanted to see part of the bumper to know how far I am really from the car behind me. I drilled a 2nd hole to locate the camera in the right place (had to move it further out.) I also shimmed the camera (back side) to make sure I only see a little bit of the car bumper (as-is will see a lot of bumper.) Agreed with many of the reviewer, the angle was off a bit.The picture looks fine during day and night. The guide lines are not necessarily to any scale. But since I was using it to ensure I can get as lose as possible in tight parking spaces, the guide lines is just nice to have, one should always look around when back up the car, not trying to use just the rear view monitor.

Installed on a 2000 civic manual transmission right in the middle above the rear license plate... for some reason it's angled down more than I'd like it to pointed at the ground... works well however sometimes it flickers and goes out and comes back on... not good when ur going backwards trying to get close but not hit anything... other than that, it has been through rain and still works no problem.

This camera has a very nice and clear picture. The instructions provided, although crude, give you enough information to figure out what you need to do. Very easy to install. Unfortunately for me, the stalk to mount the camera snapped off before I even finished tightening the nut. Now the camera is attached to the vehicle with double stick tape (included), but I'm not sure that's enough to hold it up. (it's somewhat heavy).My biggest issue however, is the inability to remove the guide lines. The guide lines do nothing to provide assistance when backing up in my daughter's car (2014 Nissan Sentra). Their scale is fixed, and the max distance is about 1.5ft from the back bumper. The stereo in her car has the ability to display guide lines as well, and they can be adjusted/moved according to your preferences. I would be happy to pay more $$ for a camera of this clarity if I could simply get rid of the guide lines. Unfortunately, It doesn't seem likeThe Good: Excellent clarity, easy installation.The Bad: Broken nut stalk makes permanent installation questionable. Replacing with another brand would require re-wiring the vehicle.The Ugly: Worthless guidelines are mostly distracting and cannot be disabled.

The camera unit feels a lot heavier than I expected, and so I assume is quite sturdy. It came packaged in a nice box, with all cables needed for installation, an adhesive pad to help mount it, plus some brief instructions. It is a typical backup camera, with fixed guidelines (which cannot be removed), and a flipped image.I was able to install in my car (wiring direct to the car's existing navigation controller) in just a couple of hours. I love how the chrome finish matches my cars trim so well. I also think that the Image quality looks a little better than the OEM backup camera on our other car (the vertical lines in the attached image are just synch problems between my phone and the display - they don't appear in the real display image).I believe that the package was shipped by Amazon, and it arrived in just a few of days.I haven't needed to contact the seller so far, but they provided lots of encouragement and instructions to do so if there are any problems, so I get the feeling that the customer experience is important to them. In fact, reading some earlier reviews where customers had experienced problems, but had got good support from the seller was one of the reasons that I chose to buy from them, rather than the myriad of other sellers that appear to be providing the same hardware.Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase so far.
