I liked this book and storyline very much. Avery Johnson was a kick butt heroine. Not only did she occasionally moonlight as a bull rider named “Casey the Clown”. She also flew planes and helicopters for the security firm she worked for, Wild Mustang Security. Wow! Awesome resume. Only thing is she’s a little wild and sort of a lone wolf at times. Enter Thom Lyndon. He’s the firm’s security specialist with a hard crush on Avery. He has decided that Avery is his. He’s her Daddy. What an interesting dynamic that they need to come to terms with.There is still the Fariq and Christian threat, as well as the other couples in the firm that need protection.I love how they all work together to keep each other safe and work to protect their couples dynamic.It was a hot and spicy read by two authors that are on my one click.I would definitely recommend.

Always Daddy’s Girl by Delta James and Maren Smith is a DD/LG suspense romance. In it we meet Avery Jackson, a skilled pilot and mechanic who poses as Casey the Clown in rodeos to unwind from her stressful job. Despite her professional accomplishments, Avery is wounded in a vicious sexual assault by a sadist. Thom Lyndon is the male lead in this story. He is an IT hacker and during his free time is a bare back bronco rider who rides under the alias of Tom Stiles. Both work for the Wild Mustang Security Firm. Both secretly pine for each other. Will circumstances change for them? Will they find happiness together? Will there be a conflict with their employers? To discover the answers to questions, you must read this book.The authors did a great job in creating both the primary and secondary characters. In addition to the lead characters, readers are introduced to other members of the security firm. All are alpha males. Readers also are introduced to their women. I liked that the authors chose to have a two-prong plot. One prong is the romance between Avery and Thom. I felt that too much emphasis was placed on domestic discipline. The dominant male, Thom, tries to temper the harshness of “his discipline” but I do not feel he was successful. A caring dominant would be more cognizant of the collateral damage Avery suffers from her vicious sexual assault. The second prong is the suspense with the antagonists, Christian Reid and Fariq Abdal, arms dealers, who are planning a terrorist attack. This approach created intrigue and kept the readers’ attention

I read an advanced copy of this book and, as always I just bought my own copy - which to me says it all. But in case more is needed, thanks to Delta and Maren for a wonderful book. Filled with a great story, adventure, kick-ass heroine (Avery), an upstanding honorable hero (Thom) and steamy in all the right places.At a time when it seems so often the good guys don't win and we often see people rewarded for lying and cheating, it's a pleasre to read a story where doing the right thing and being a stand up person (male or female) counts for something.Again ladies, thank you

This wonderful story grabs your attention from beginning to end with never a dull moment! Action packed with a spit fire dare devil that is not only fearless but thrives on danger. After discovering her dangerous hobby, a certain man decides to take her in hand and that she is in dire need of a daddy. Not only is this book action packed, smoking hot but will leave you on the edge of your seat. You simply can't put the book down until you finish it.

This was an exciting, hot, steamy love story with a great inside story that kept the attention of this reader throughout the entire book. Would love to read more in this series and more overwritten by these two amazing authors.

Really enjoyed this story got it on unlimited but once I finished it I immediately purchased it Great characters loved the dynamic between Thom and Avery going to definitely catch the others in this series

If Delta James writes it, I read it. She’s been a years-long favorite, starting with her Willa Bradley books through her new dragon shifter series. Her alpha heroes are dominant, they’re protective and they don’t hesitate to spank their mates for disregarding personal safety – but they never cross the line into abuse. That was my expectation for this new book, the latest of her Wild Mustang Security tales, where Thom is introduced as a daddy dom – “His dominance was a more gentle, nurturing form of loving authority.” His relationship with Avery builds convincingly, the action is gripping and the characters remain consistent with their stated values and implied personalities – until the end, when there is a major break in the narrative flow.Because Avery was beaten with a whip in a past relationship and injured badly, Thom promises, “At no time will I ever use a whip or flogger of any kind.” Yet in the last scene, he lashes the front and back of her body with a dressage whip, including her breasts and inside her vagina: “Now, spread your legs for Daddy. I want you to expose your clit to me so that I can let the dressage whip do its work.” A Delta James hero has never inflicted this type of cruel punishment before rough sex and just thinking about the physical damage left me cringing. I know this book has been branded as dark, but the problem is that nothing in the preceding chapters even hinted that Thom would forego his stated “no whip” policy, and there was no careful framing of his evolution into a more sadistic type of daddy.Perhaps this departure from a true-to-type hero is the natural process of meshing writing styles with a collaborator, Maren Smith, or maybe a new creative direction as a whole. But I would welcome a return to the mate-as-defender model of bossy, arrogant guardians who are quick to discipline but never injure, and who behave in a manner consistent with earlier descriptions throughout the whole book. Will I read more books by Delta James? You bet! I’m a true fan. But I might skip the Delta James/Maren Smith pairings just in case this is a new template for heroes in this writing partnership.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Absolutely loved this series of four books. A brilliant storyline and wonderful characters. If you enjoy strong alpha males and feisty women then this is the set you don't want to miss. Enjoy the journey with the Mustang Security. Xx

I like both these authors and was sure this book would be great. Well it could have been and was not because the writing is very uneven. There are far to many silly mistakes like leaving out verbs and using the wrong pronouns and sentences that just don’t make sense. There are sentences were verbs and adverbs don’t agree, they lose count of the. number of climaxes. Can you believe that. I think these mistakes are the result of co-authors and not solid enough editing. The best parts of this book are the under fire sections. I find the sex scenes become repetitious and formulaic, as they repeat every cliched metaphor and simile I have ever read. Can’t they decrease the number of sex scenes and let the reader’s imagination fill in the blank? This story doesn’t seem to be as much about Doms and Submissives as about Sadists and Masochists, having to inflict and receive major pain to get sufficient satisfaction just doesn’t seem right. Also using sex as a punishment sounds abusive.. For you who love this series as I do you will likely enjoy the book despite my reservations. Parts of it made me want to give it 4 stars but almost immediately there would be another irritating mistake.
