A Nice Treat for Yourself if You're Looking to Experiment with Journaling
I've been using this little journal for a couple months now on the recommendation of Michael Hyatt (http://michaelhyatt.com/why-i-ditched-my-moleskine-journal.html). According to the official Ecosystem journal website http://www.ecosystemlife.com the publishing company responsible for Ecosystems journals, Sterling Publishing Co., is a wholly owned subsidiary of Barnes & Noble.Ecosystem vs. MoleskineI've never had an "official" Moleskine notebook, but I did purchase a Books-A-Million look-alike years ago called Readables Naturals (now out of print). But I have had a chance to compare the Moleskine with the Ecosystem journals, and I must say I believe the Ecosystem journals to be superior in every way. When it comes to most recyclable products, I'm not as concerned with all the hype about "green" and "environmentally friendly" as I am with functionality and design. The main thing the Ecosystems journals have going for them over the Moleskine journals is their ability to tear out pages via perforated pages in case you want to scan them into Evernote.I love the heaviness of the paper's weight which is a very bright white and thick enough to not have to worry about ink bleeding with most pens. The flexi-cover is very durable and not prone to warp or bend with lots of use, and the notebook lays flat nicely when you get around the halfway point. The pocket in the back is also very handy for storing smaller items such as post-its or extra journal entries. Also at around 200 or so pgs. for the medium—if I'm not mistaken—you'll get plenty of use out of your Ecosystem journal.I would definitely recommend trying an Ecosystem journal if you're looking for a new notebook in your current or soon-to-be journaling adventures. They come in many different shapes and sizes and colors as well as artist (ruled), writer (blank), and architect (grid) style paper. I originally ordered a medium size for my first one, but I'm thinking about ordering a small for my next notebook which I plan on changing to the Clementine Orange color. The only downside to buying journals of this type—other than their higher price range—is that with these beauties you tend to be afraid to "Wreck this journal" and just write freely. Don't be. Writer's write no matter how elegant the medium!

Great Eco Friendly, Made in USA journal
Great Journals! They have closely spaced lines, a book mark and a pocket in the back. I write a lot, so it important to have a finer line. They come in a variety of colors, so I can pick one that matches my mood. The cover has a nice feel to it. Flexible, but not so thin that it feels like it will fall apart. I also like that they are Eco friendly and made in the USA.There is a feature that I never used. You can register your journal so that if it is lost, the finder can return it to you by following the instructions inside the cover.

Watch out, Moleskine!
I've been looking for a somewhat affordable journal with perforated pages so I could start keeping all my informal notes and lists in ONE place (instead of a thousand different crumpled paper scraps and sticky notes in my pockets and purse). I can easily rip out a list to take with me to the store, or discard when complete. This is a high-quality journal with thicker and nicer paper than the Moleskine -- even my multicolored Sharpies(r) don't bleed through! High-quality paper and binding + bookmark + elastic closure + perforated pages + pocket in the back for receipts, etc.... I think I found my new perfect notebook. (The only problem is, what pretty color to get next?)

Strap Broke, but otherwise nice
I bought this book because of the perforated pages in particular, and those work pretty well. However, while traveling in my backpack (I'll admit I wasn't very nice to it) the elastic strap detached from the book and since it was glued on I can't re-attach it. I guess I have a second bookmark now!

exactly what I was looking for
An attractive ecofriendly notebook available in several colors and sizes, with different paper options available. I was looking for a notebook I could write in and then tear out the pages and scan them into Evernote, this one has perforated pages for easy removal.

Good quality, attractive, practical journal.
I really like the size and construction of this journal. The elastic band is useful since I like to pick up leaves, tickets, etc and keep them tucked safely away (and they don't fall out).

Great notebook.
I love this notebook, I'm currently looking for a new one as this one is getting filled up. The paper is nice and thick, with a smooth finish. I use a Cross pen with dark black ink, and nothing bleeds through. The pages are perforated so you can rip them out if needed. The only downside is the bookmark that fell off :( I glued it back in, but it fell out again, so now it's just sandwiched between pages. The rubber band holds the notebook nice and closed. The pocket at the back is very handy.

A very good journal that is easy to write in
Light weight journal that is easy to carry about and make notes and/or write your journal. I love the blue colour. Good quality ruled paper. Has elastic band that keeps the journal together.
