First off, this is a 20-dollar item, so don't go into it expecting top-dollar, brand name quality or construction. That said however, I am pretty impressed with how nice this is for the money. Based on some reviews, it looks like it may be a crap-shoot as far as getting a good one, or getting a lemon. Mine is very quiet, more like "white noise" in the background (about as loud as a DVR or flatscreen TV fan), both fans work smoothly, the metal grill feels solid, the lights are not obnoxiously bright (they are 100% covered by the laptop anyhow, so they are not exactly visible), and it's the perfect size for my HP Pavilion DV6 15.6" laptop. It's almost exactly the same footprint, with no overhang. Time will tell, but this seems like a solid deal. I'll be very happy if it still works in Nov 2016. I'd recommend it. I've spent more $$ on dumber things ....** UPDATED 04-15-2016 - Downgraded to 2.5 stars ... Well, it was great while it lasted ! It finally stopped working as of today, exactly 5 months after I got it. It had been acting up over the past few weeks, the fans occasionally cutting out, and lately it would only stay running if you jiggled the cord and positioned it at just the right angle. When it was working though, it kept the laptop at a decent 88-95 degree temp. I may gamble another 20 bucks and buy another one, or just try a different brand. I'm guessing they are all about the same though, and it's a crap-shoot regardless of which one you choose.

I love the product itself, as it does cool my laptop extremely well and allow me to use it once again. This was generally speaking its sole purpose so, for that I am grateful.The only issue experienced was receiving my first product DOA, however the company assures me that this is likely due to Amazon warehousing or another "crunch" in transit. I have since received a replacement since then from the seller, in-tact, and am much happier having spent the 20 dollars now. They were very, very fast about replacing the item and did not give me any extra-trouble doing so. That being said, this cooler is very light and very..."dainty" in my opinion. This is not a bad thing at all as it is extremely lightweight and holds my laptop just fine.Summary: Great, and efficient cooler if you are careful and easy enough on your products. I don't think this thing would survive a 12 year old boy slamming a laptop down on top of it too many times, but then again if it did it would be heavy and probably more than 20 bucks. Overall I will be interested to see how it holds up and will edit this review sometime later unless it sticks with 5 stars!

Bought this for my new 17 inch laptop, which it says that it fits. It fits, if you dont mind it falling off the back all the time if you use the holders on the bottom.The left fan stopped spinning after about a week of use. The USB cable randomly cuts out like there is a short in it, and is TOO short to reach the USB jacks on my laptop. The screening where the laptop sits is flimsy and pushes in onto the fans. The fans DO move a lot of air, when they actually work, but make a clicking sound that gets very annoying.I don't usually write reviews but I was completely disappointed in this and hopefully this will help other people trying to make a decision.I won't ever buy this again.

Just what I needed for my high performance laptop, Dropped processor temperature a bunch (40 - 50 degrees). It is so quiet that if it were not for the soft blue glow coming from it I would not know it was on. Two tabs on the front to ensure the laptop does not slide off (unit is tilted up a bit at the rear) keep the laptop where it should be. I find the ergonomics of this stand almost perfect. I does use a little USB power but I have never found that to be a problem since I am using high quality, extended life, batteries. Now for the price "ARE YOU KIDDING ME". This is so cheap that there is no reason not to own one.

Good item and keep laptop cool. Build quality seems good and sturdy. My only complaint is that it is not as quiet as I would like it to be. Don't get me wrong, it's quiet, but I can still hear a very very small vibration in the fan. Doesn't bother me much, I like the product enough to keep it, but just thought it was worth taking note. Bottom line it keeps the laptop cool so it does its job.One more thing to add is that I purchased the 15.6 - 17 inch size cooler and I have a 15.6 inch size laptop (HP Omen). Despite the description saying this fits 15.6-17; it actually fits the laptop exactly. So if you do have a 17in laptop, you may consider getting a larger size cooling pad.

Does what it's supposed to do. Has two little legs you can flip out to prop it up on a hard surface or your lap. Sucks hot air away from laptop rather than blowing cool air towards it, but it appears to work.You cannot turn the blue light off.The USB connector you plug into the laptop to power the fan on has an open end which you can use to plug in another USB cord/device which I wasn't expecting!! Very nice!! I use it to plug in my wireless mouse or charge my phone.Fits a ~15 inch laptop well.

I thought this would be a little better quality as it was pretty light and doesn't look to be of the best quality but so far has done a very good job of cooling my Macbook Pro. It does sit up a little higher but it is on a nice angle so its comfortable. There is also a USB plug that has to plug into my computer which is inconvenient since I only have 2 however its worth it since I don't like my Macbook to get too hot. It does a good job of keeping it cool and so far I am very happy.

Works great so far. It's super quiet and does help keep the laptop cooler. There are 2 usb ports on the back as well as an on/off switch. It either lays flat or props up with feet extended - which allows for better air flow. My laptop has rubber feet so I don't need to use the bottom flaps. I've got a 15.6 inch Asus and the fan fits it fine and feels secure - no bending or warping of the mesh. In my opinion it's a good product and value for the money.
