Great movie, excellent acting, photography, special effects, and an enjoyable story. A must see! Few movies have achieved this level of excellence.

TWO STARS WORKING TOGETHER
I really enjoyed this 125 min REGION B/2 DVD in which Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones were absolutely fantastic and can understand why Tommy Lee Jones won so many awards for best supporting actor. Parents should have no worries about this film although it does have some very intense scenes throughout.Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones race through this breathless manhunt movie inspired by one classic TV series which in turn inspired yet another. Ford is prison escapee Doctor Richard Kimble, a Chicago surgeon falsely convicted of killing his wife and determined to prove his innocence by leading his pursuers to the one-armed man who committed the crime. Tommy Lee Jones is Sam Gerard an unrelenting bloodhound of a U.S. marshal. They are "hunted and hunter", their nonstop chase has one exhilarating speed: all-out. It is one of those films that if you leave the room you will miss an important part.

Valued Harrison Ford viewing with a punch at the finish
Being on too late at night, we ordered this simply to be able to view it all at another time. Very glad we did, as this fairly early Ford packs a punch with acting, pace and outcome.Cleverly situated initially, the plot takes you through a thrilling piece of detection with a tense build up for the finale. It did bring an idea to our minds though, that perhaps medics should try solve mysteries alongside the police. Good forensic detail plus well constructed plot.Great entertainment value. We have held onto the copy so that we can enjoy it again in a few months time.

The best fugitive film ever
There is not much more you can add to this riveting, very well written drama of (Dr Richard Kimble) (Harrison Ford) who wrongly convicted of the murder of his wife (Sela Ward) (The Day After Tomorrow), manages to escape by very inventive and plausible means. The Tommy Lee Jones team on top form in this one, as was (Jerone Krabbe) (Living Daylights) as the least possible suspect Dr Nichols. 10/10 for sheer awesome story board and writing skills, plus some moments you hold your breath!! :)

A GREAT THRILLER WITH A DUMB DUMMY SCENE
In this tense thriller (Based on the 60s US tv series) Doctor Richard Kimble (Harrison Ford) is falsely acused & sentenced for the murder of his wife en-route to jail he dramaticly escapes when the prison van crashes & causes a major train smash. Now on the run he's out to prove his innocence and find the one armed man he fought with on the night of his wifes murder. On his tail is a team of U.S Marshalls lead by in an Award winning performance Tommy Lee Jones as Deputy Samuel Gerard. There is one dodgy scence with a naff dummy of Kimble jumping from a tall sewer or dam. But the film barrels along and keeps you gripped through-out its 2hr+ run time and the performances from all the cast are great. Directed by Andrew Davis who's previous film Under Siege a decent Die Hard on a boat action movie with Steven Segal & Tommy Lee Jones. Davis does well again here. All in all a great film.

Very enjoyable, with plenty of drama and action
A classic in this genre. Excitement, drama, and plenty of action sequences. Excellent performances from a determined person trying to prove his innocence, and a well deserved Oscar award for Tommy Lee Jones. I could watch this again, and it does not date. Not too much swearing, and no overpowering music.
