One of the things I hadn't heard prior to listening to an oral health podcast recently was that zylitol has some pretty surprising properties that help prevent the bad bacteria in your mouth from creating the acids and plaque (or at least reduce those activities). So brushing your teeth with this stuff at the end of the day is a great way to improve your oral health. I already had this product and was happy to see zylitol is one of the first ingredients in this product. The taste is very neutral, the paste itself is clear-ish and somewhere between a gel and a paste. I have several expensive toothpastes, and I researched all the ingredients. This came out on top. I do recommend it.

I was told by my dentist that I needed a deep cleaning due to pockets being 5 and 6 on some of my teeth and that I had periodontist. I started using this tooth paste along with Periogen oral rinse and after a year of not having my teeth cleaned due to COVID I went to the Dentist and was told I didn't need a deep cleaning just a regular cleaning which I was elated to hear and that I had a mild case of gingivitis not periodontist. Even though I have been brushing at night, which I didn't use to do every night I still believe the decrease in my pockets and the need for only a regular cleaning instead of deep cleaning is due to this product. I've tried different products that didn't work so I'm glad to have found this product there is nothing like a healthy mouth , also my gums use to bleed a lot, now I have minimal to no bleeding even when I got my cleaning the hygienist said it was good that I had no bleeding gums which normally they would bleed bad during a cleaning. A deep cleaning isn't covered under my dental insurance, so this product not only reduced the plaque build up and bleeding gums but it saved me money because a regular cleaning is free of charge thru my insurance :)

I have been using it for a month. I cannot say tartar formation is fixed but my teeth are a shade brighter.

It actually works! I have a terrible tartar issue just behind my 2 lower front teeth. No amount of flossing and I floss a minimum of twice a day. But I had this tooth paste ready, went and got my teeth cleaned and began to use this immediately after my dental cleaning. It has been a month or so and there is absolutely no sign of any build-up whatsoever. I can not believe it. I still floss religiously, but this tooth paste will be the only brand I use.

For a while I had to go without dental care and I did my best to keep a good enough hygiene so that I wouldn't have any medical debt emergencies. I was able to avoid the dentist for 3 and half years using this toothpaste and only because my sealing chipped (unrelated) did I get a cavity. Even my dental assistant was surprised at how well my teeth looked considering the gap.It takes a while to get used to no foaming agents in the toothpaste and it's the mint is not that noticeable. Even the whitening is hit or miss, but what do you really want out of your paste: a foamy, minty namebrand or a real tool to keep the dental bills at bay until you can afford them again?

It's a gel, not a paste. If you like gel toothpastes, you'll probably like it more than I did.

I was given this as a recommended from a dental hygienist, after first brush I could feel the difference!!Follow up: it has been a few weeks, tartar has literally fallen off since I used this. I brush then flossed today and tartar fell off!! I had terrible pregnancy gingivitis and worse postpartum.
