These are great cans, but for some reason, have a plastic insert in the filler opening. I struggle to understand what possible safety purpose that could serve. It would make it more difficult to fill, possibly causing spills, and more difficult empty, again, increasing possibilties of spills or accidents. It has holes too large to filter anything out, and is just in the way. I removed those. Don't make the mistake I did on the first one and pushed the insert into the can, forever emtombed. I learned from my mistake and removed the others without incident. With those out of the way, they are great functional gas containers.

What a wonderful deal for 4. Went up a few bucks just after a week but still, great deal.I like these cans b/c they come with handles on the side and an internal FILTER - wow! That’s a first and I really like these idea. Just like how I like the breather hole idea (read below) so we’ll see how durable and convenient the filter is (clogging, slowing down fuel filling, cracking etc). The handle on the side really does help with wrist ergonomics so less prone to injury when pouring out contents.All my cans have a breather hole I drilled into them. Mistake b/c the hardware for them are not uv stable and begin to crack and discolor. These new cans and any cans after, will not be drilled for breather holes.
