Stride Rite Haylie Mary Jane (Toddler/Little Kid), Silver, 8 Toddler

We got these for my 4 yr old daughter for Christmas. We can never find comfortable, kid-approved, dressier shoes that have any sort of traction on them AND will actually get worn again! My kid had to put them on the minute she saw them, wore them the next 3 days before Christmas & until the day after. They fit perfectly, she normally wears 11 which is what I ordered & looked fantastic as well. Christmas was rainy & we ended up walking in it a bit, but I was SO happy with these shoes & thankful! No slips at all & nothing happened with the sparkly stuff. We've only had them for a few weeks so I will follow up with comments on durability (also why I only gave 4 stars).

OMG, my 2.5 yr old cannot get enough of these shoes, nor can I, or her teachers or even the random people we meet. Firstly, they are so easy for her to get on and off herself which she is thrilled about and me too! Second, they are very solid. We don't wear them when it's wet outside so I'm not sure how well the grip would hold up but she's unstoppable on the playground and everyday running around. Thirdly, they are so glittery and sparkly, nothing has rubbed off- they are still super shiny and glittery. Fourth, they are like grandparent catnip. 100% of the time we go to the grocery store (that's where they keep the grandparents these days) they come out of the woodwork to admire her adorable shoes, and my little lady can't get enough of it. So yes, yes, a thousand times yes!

These are adorable and my daughter loves them. They seem comfortable and she never complained while wearing them, even though I purchased them slightly too big as she is in-between sizes now. She wears them all day (from 7a.m. till 6 p.m.) while in pre-K. My only complaint is that they (and her feet) smell despite wearing socks. She doesn't have this problem with any other shoes she has, so i'm assuming that it's the material these are made from. I wash them every week, but, if she wears them Monday & Tuesday, by Wednesday, I have to wash them again. I don't want to wash them too often, so i have to limit her use of them.

These are darling shoes! They seem to run a tiny bit big, even though we measured my daughter's feet using the Stride Rite tool on their website. No problem- they'll fit soon enough. We love the fit, look and quality of Stride Rites.**Revision: it is now a month later and my daughter has been wearing these shoes (this is her only pair). They fit and she seems to walk fine in them but there are a few things I'm not thrilled about: 1) The strap is very thin and puts a lot of pressure in a small part of the foot to keep these on. The heel can slip a little. 2) Although the interior is canvas, my daughter has to wear socks because the strap digs into her skin too much (again, see #1). 3) She can easily undo the strap herself and does so frequently- not enough surface area with Velcro.I still like these shoes though and they look very cute.

We are on our 3rd pair of these. My daughter loves them. We always get gold or silver, and they go with everything. I like that they're a little dressy but also wear like sneakers so no worries when she's playing outside. My only complaint is that over time the glitter does wear off at the toe and they start to look very worn. One Velcro strap also stopped working. So by the time she grows out of them, they're really ready for the trash and her little sister won't "inherit" them even as play shoes. But, she wears them so much and enjoys them, so in this case I'm OK with it!

My daughter loved these so much, we bought a second pair in the next size. Many of the reviews said they didn't hold up well, but we did not experience that until summer. On outdoor toys, she drags her toes and it rubbed off the top a bit, but that's not the shoe's fault. She's worn them more days than not over the past 6 months and they held up great until then. I just wish the price had been as good the second time as it was when I ordered the first pair!

My daughter loved these!!! She wore them everyday and loved that she could take them off and put them on all by herself! She was 1 year 7 months when I purchased these. She was known to mix up the right and left shoe, however, was still able to wear them on the wrong foot comfortably as well. This was helpful since she did a lot of taking them off and putting them on by herself. She wore them like tennis shoes (running, jumping, playground, playing in dirt, etc.), and they have held up. She is growing quickly so we are already on to the next size. Both my kids love the comfort of Stride Rite and have an opinion of the shoes they wear. We are fans at our house!

These shoes are so pretty! My daughter only wore them for a short time twice around the house and didn't want to take them off. I bought them to wear with dresses with no socks or stockings. I still wanted a shoe that gave her good support for walking, she's only a year and a half old. I feel like some dressier shoes leave out the comfort and supportive factor and only target cuteness. Stride Rite shoes are the only shoes my daughter is wearing now. These are so sparkly and gorgeous I can't wait for her to wear them to a party we have in a few weeks!!! They even match with the shoes I wore on my wedding day and we like to play dress up in them :)
