Excellent product for pain and inflammation.
This is great stuff. I was taking a highly rated tart cherry capsule, and was amazed at how well tart cherry works on pain and inflammation. I found that my sleep is better, too, which is a good thing! But at nearly $30.00 for a bottle of 60 capsules, and needing to take 6 to 8 per day to keep the pain down, I realized I'd need at least 3 bottles per month and that's way too expensive. So I ordered empty capsules, a capsule filling kit and this powder from Virgin Extracts and started making my own capsules. I was a little concerned that this powder might not work the same but I needn't have been. It works great! Now I can get the relief from pain & inflammation I need at a price I can afford.I also put this in our smoothies, kefir and homemade yogurt.Don't expect it to taste like tart cherry juice, because it doesn't. No powdered natural product will. It's a nutritional supplement, not a flavoring. I also use Virgin Extracts' Aronia Berry and their Black Raspberry powders. I'm so happy to have found this company and their products!UPDATE 10/21/2015I did the math and thought I'd share it for those who are interested. I found that I can make 630 size "00" gelatin capsules from a one pound bag of this powder. (This is a larger capsule than the name brand capsule I was taking, so I find that I only need 6 per day instead of the 8 per day I was taking.) My husband has also started taking 4 capsules per day, which puts us at a total of 10 capsules per day/300 capsules per month. At $29.95 per bottle of the smaller, pre-made capsules ($.50 each) which also contain filler), we would need 5 bottles per month, costing a whopping $149.75 a month!Including the size "00" gelatin capsule, ($0.02 each from Capsule Connection), and using Amazon's current price for 1 pound of the Virgin Extracts powder, I can make my own capsules without fillers for $0.13 each. 300 capsules cost us $39.00 per month, saving us $110.75 monthly. This makes it absolutely doable for us to get the relief from pain and inflammation we need, along with better sleep. I love this stuff!

Good Natural Melatonin Supplement, but no organic certification
I read that tart cherries were one of the few concentrated natural sources of Melatonin. After looking around I only found this product, and was hesitant to pay a lot for a product that so few had tried, but decided to take the dive anyway and I am glad I did. I have been trying this for the past week and my dreams have become much more vivid (which is what I wanted), and so I think this is the real deal. I took one star off however because there is no organic symbol on the label.P.S: I've tried this product from one teaspoon up to 2 table spoons before bed, and I think it is fair to say that less is better. I later found out that 52 pounds of tart cherries are made to use one pound of this dried stuff, and had read somewhere that this variety of cherries had a little over 1300 micrograms of meltaonin per 100 grams of servings, or 13 micrgrams per gram. This means that for each gram of the dried stuff (assuming none of the nutrients are altered during the drying process), you are getting a little over 670 micrograms of melatonin. Since each teaspoon is a little less than 5g according to the label on the back, you are essentially getting 3mg of melatonin per teaspoon, which is within the range you can get from synthetic melatonin tablets. However, keep in mind this assumes the conversion from fresh to dry is efficient and doesn't affect the nutrient content, so it may not be truly valid.

It tastes like a mildly bland tart cherry but at 52x concentration ...
This is a superfood rather than a taste enhancer and I use it as part of my own superfood mix. It tastes like a mildly bland tart cherry but at 52x concentration it's the nutrition you are going for not the taste and is a bargain nutritionally. If its the taste you are going for then get the normal powder or dried tart cherries. I used to also put it in my morning cereal with 1/2&1/2 but after reading about a study that found milk neutralized the health benefits of blueberries I wondered it milk didn't do the same to the cherries so I decided to use it where I didn't use milk( hemp, oat and other similar substitutes did not cut it with my cereals).

Just as stated
Exactly as described, I use this almost every day as an addition to my morning smoothie.Everything I've purchased from virgin extracts has been of high quality.

Waste of money
I am so dissatisfied with this product. The powder will not dissolve in water and has the consistency of sand with no flavor at all. It make be concentrated but it is worthless to me. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY !
