Sunsweet Prunes D'noir Pitted 9 Oz (Pack of 12)

Have always loved prunes, but these are the best because they are nice and moist.I have to be careful on how many I eat in a day as we don't want to over do it do we? ;-)

These prunes are sweet and moist. They go well alone, in salads, with cottage cheese, in cereal and in many other ways. They are high fiber and very healthy. Try them and you won't buy another brand again. If you think prunes are not tasty try these. Angie Chesser

Perfect moistness for Chocolate Prune Whip, a nutritious, tasty spread - "preservative free" is a huge plus!Add one 9oz package of D'Noir Prunes to a glass quart measuring cup containing 3 cups of very hot, boiled water. Cover and let prunes hydrate 15 min.Drain water, saving 1/2 cup (pour back into measuring cup), then stir in 3 tbsp virgin coconut oil (melted) and sprinkle on 1/3 cup unsweetened natural cocoa (100% cacao), 2 tsp sugar (optional), and a pinch of salt; stir carefully to combine.Use a hand blender to create a smooth texture, then spoon (or spatula) mixture into a container (with lid) and refrigerate overnight. Add extra hot water during blending if mixture is too thick. More cocoa may be added for stronger chocolate flavor: 1/4 cup cocoa to 3 tbsp very hot water; stir well, then stir into Prune Whip.Also makes tasty pudding (small serving - they're prunes). Top with a dollop of whipped cream for special occasions. Or try this whip (with the extra cocoa) as a topping in the middle of a layered chocolate cake!
