Well worth such a modest investment
My couch is 25 years old but is in excellent cosmetic shape and I still like it. Unfortunately, the springs have lost much of their support. When sitting upon it, one would sink down a little too much, making it a little harder to get up, especially for older people.I inserted some thin plywood and that helped a bit was too hard by itself so I cut up a mattress topper and placed that on top of the plywood (then the couch cushions). That was better but not great. Since mattress toppers are usually made of some sort of memory foam, we were still sinking into the couch a little too much. Thus, thought I would try this polyurethane foam.Although not perfect, I have found this foam to be a marked improvement. I bought the 3" but may at some point try the 2" or even 1". Having used this foam every day since it was delivered, I can say there has definitely been an improvement in comfort and support, which is exactly what I wanted. It was very easy and quick to cut (I used a combination of scissors and electric knife). Only took a few moments. As for the product itself, I have no complaints. My only issue is how it works for me and my couch. Entering through the front door, the couch is one of the first things one sees and with this white foam elevating the cushions was quite noticeable. My couch has rather a busy floral pattern and fortunately I had a sheet I was not using with a similar pattern. Wrapping that sheet around the foam and tucking it in has improved the visual quite a bit, but it is still obvious that something is underneath the cushions. For now, I am getting more comfortable with the look and am quite pleased with the added comfort and support. Am considering trying some of the 1" or 2" foam at some point but expect that I would have to sacrifice some of the support with thinner foam. Not ready to try that yet. Just pleased to be getting more life out of a couch we like. It is much better than it was.

Great quality
Used this for a seat on a small roll away base, the foam is very comfortable and dense - very happy with the product. No bad smell, quality construction - great product.

A firm foam perfect for reupholstering dining chairs
I recently acquired some chairs for my dining table and boy did they need some help. They were sad, uncomfortable chairs! I did a lot of research on different foams and what type is the best type for dining room chairs that will receive moderate to heavy use, and settled on this one. I knew I wanted a high density foam because it lasts longer, and I wanted firm so that over time when it softens up, it wouldn't become too soft. The price compared to similar foam was much better, and cheaper than even lesser quality foam from local craft stores. The foam arrived in a roll, wrapped in Saran Wrap type wrapping, and I unrolled it immediately so it would have time to "breathe" and become more flat so I could more easily work with it, which took about 2 days but I'm sure you could work with t sooner. I used a serrated bread knife and it cut the shapes out easily. I was a little worried because one of the previous reviews said this was soft, but mine is quite firm. We eat dinner at the table nightly, and the chairs are much more comfortable now. It does sink a little when you sit in it, but it's kind of in the way a memory foam mattress does. Nothing extreme. I am a big fan so far and hopefully it holds up as well as claimed. I will update this post a year from now with how they are holding up. I enclosed a picture of the before and after so you can have an idea of how thick or thin you are wanting your foam. 2 inches is perfect for our needs.*Update* feb 2017The foam is still holding up really well and we eat dinner at the table 5-7 nights a week and do crafts with my tots during the day. It's still firm, not sagging or lumpy and the chairs look the same as the day I refinished them. Very happy with my purchase still and definitely keeping the rating 5 stars!

Great deal but didn’t get 72inches
Ordered foam to replace 3 out of 6 couch cushions. Pillows measure exactly 24x24 so 3 would be 72 total inches.CON: The foam that I received was 69 inches so one of my cushions were 3 inches too short. Had to insert 3 inches of the old foam to fill the insert. Disappointing to say the least.PROs: Now in regards to the foam, it is a great overall value for the thickness. The foam is firm yet it’s comfortable. It does have a little give when sitting on it. Definitely provides support when sitting on. Have to order another one to change out the remaining 3 cushions.. hoping I get the full 72 inches.Gave it 4 stars due to the incorrect length

Works well on old couch
This stuff is pretty good. I put one 2" layer on one side of my seat cushions of my old couch. It's pretty firm. It would be nice if it was a little softer, but it's comfortable. I ended up putting it foam side down so it's still offering support and cushion but the original cushion is on top which has a little more give. It has no smell at all which I was really happy about. The 2" thickness is pretty easy to cut with a good pair of strong scissors. I did not need to glue it or anything. I just placed it on top of the cushion under the slip cover and put the slip cover back on which took some effort but was not too hard. My family was really excited about having a comfy couch again. It's hard to get rid of your old couch when your first born was born on it.... When he moves out, he's taking it with him.
