Sleepyville Critters Owl Canvas Crossbody Bag

I ordered this (in orange) for my 15 year old daughter, and the bag is retro and cute. It is big enough for wallet, phone, a book or kindle, some snacks and a water bottle, but isn't enormous, so it's a good carry all day be ready for anything bag. Unfortunately, the zipper doesn't always close properly, the teeth don't engage. If the new bag does not have this problem I'll update and change the rating to five stars.ChristineNew bag is just fine.

I get a ton of compliments every time I use this bag. Even though I love owls and love this purse, I do have some problems with the bag. First, the gold (belly) of the owl scratches really easily. Ive had the bag for 2 months and the gold has a ton of marks and missing parts. 2. The bag gets really dirty since it is made out of cloth. I would choose a different color, the darker the better. 3. The bag is roomy however it does not have many compartments. I hate searching for things at the bottom of a purse, I would consider buying a purse insert

This bag is adorable, but lacks quality. I would rather pay more for a bag that would last.First, the look. Soooo cute. The fabrics seems nice too. The owl shows nicely, being large and a bit shiny. I chose the darker color of Aqua, which is a black backround with light colored floral outlined in aqua. Very nice contrast. The owl is large, somewhat shiny, securely on the bag, and very cute. I've gotten compliments having only worn it a few days.It has one large interior pocket. Large enough to slip my iPad in, with everything else I normally carry in my bag. There are smaller sideopen pockets where I keep my keys so I don't have to search through the whole bag for them. I think they're suitable for pens, keys, maybe a small cell phone. But nothing will be secure in them as they are wide open and anything can fall out. I wish there was a zippered pocket inside or the bag was separated on the inside so you have two large separate pockets. There is one zippered pocket on the exterior backside of the purse. It's a large pocket, but it is not the full size of the bag. The strap is adjustable, it is a good length.The problems with this bag is that the zipper does stick, and I'm waiting to have problems as other reviewer's have said about the zipper breaking. Also the strap has already started to fray on one edge. It looks like the part where the strap was fitted together. I have only worn this bag a couple of times, so I feel the fraying of the strap is a pretty bad sign.This bag was a very good price and it's adorable. I would like to be able to keep it for a while, but because of the quality problems I don't see that happening. I would gladly have paid more to keep this cutie around for a while.UPDATE 3/03/2015The zipper pull disappeared a couple of weeks ago, but I easily added a small pull. But the inner lining is now ripping in a shredding way so it can't really be fixed. Sad. It still looks cute, I get random compliments all the time.

Strap looked cheap and so did background fabric. The owl was cute and it was a good size. The inner zipper looked like it would break quickly.

As I have on this bag. I purchased this bag in aqua a few years ago, and I have been stopped by old ladies, muscular men, and everything in between.I have abused my owl purse over the years and it has held up pretty well. The canvas material has faded a bit, but I think it looks even better this way. The owl looks almost exactly the same as the day I received it.Yes, the lining could be thicker, but it seems to be durable as there are no holes or even worn patches. There are two pockets on the inside of the purse: a large 6.5x4.5" pocket with no zipper, and an attached smaller pocket with a zipper. There is a rather large zipped pocket on the back of the purse; I put my phone here for easy access.For $25, I couldn't be happier.

I love this purse. It’s big enough to hold all my stuff, super cute and a crowd pleaser. I’ve gotten so many compliments on it! It would be a hit with any owl lover in my opinion!

I fell in love with this owl and just had to have it. While the colors are a bit more yellow and gold than I would normally use, I love the expression on the owl, it's roomy enough for my stuff with a zip pocket on the outside and small pockets inside for cell phone, pens etc. LOVE LOVE LOVE this bag! I get compliments on it all the time!

I bought this for my sister as a gift. She LOVED it and was ecstatic. I got this for her about 4 months ago and she is still using it the only issue that we have run into as of now is the lining around one eye is starting to come off and the inside lining is starting to fall apart. To add to how much she loves this purse, she does not sew or anything like that and she has busted out the needle and thread just because she loves this purse so much and wants to fix it. It is super cute and well worth the money.
