If you are keto, this book is probably not for you....
My book arrived yesterday and I am completely disappointed. I guess that's what I get for preordering a new book with "keto" in the title because of a facebook group recommendation and not having additional information about the author. I now see, that her focus is allergen-free, not keto. There are too many cookbook authors jumping on the keto bandwagon without knowing what they are doing. There is no nutritional information with any of the recipes. I finally found them listed in the back of the book. She relies on sugar-free honey or sugar-free maple syrup in a large number of the recipes. Some of the non-keto foods she uses are carrots, butternut squash, arrowroot, tapioca, beets, lupin flour, honey, garbanzo bean flour, yogurt, cherries, rhubarb, apples, oat fiber...So, if you don't follow keto, or you are comfortable with very dirty keto, then this book may be perfect for you. But, if you are doing keto for your health, then this book is probably not for you.If you're newly keto, this book could be very misleading for you, and there are many other books that would be better choices.I'm sure the recipes are very tasty and that it's probably a wonderful cookbook, just not keto. The book is nicely laid out with a photo for pretty much every recipe. I'm not knocking the cookbook, just that it's being marketed as a keto cookbook. One star for claiming to be a keto cookbook, not for the cookbook itself.

Ultimately NOT Keto!
I purchased this book based on the title and expected it to be the best Keto book I could possibly own. While the recipes look delicious and the photos are spectacular, the ingredients tell me the carb counts for a majority of the recipes fall well outside anything that could be considered Keto-friendly. My suspicions are confirmed by the author hiding her nutrition information in the back of the book. She has the audacity to include in a book titled “Ultimate Keto” recipes that have as many as 70+ grams of carbs PER SERVING! She takes ingredients that have zero carbs, such as red snapper, chicken and shrimp, and concocts recipes that have up to 25 grams of carbs per serving. She includes a “marry me” sauce that has 19 grams of carbs and “low carb” recipes that have 11 and 12 grams of carbs per serving. Her high-carb veggies include salad (21 grams), eggplant (22 grams), squash (61 grams) and parsnips (74 grams)! I have never seen a Keto book with as many carb-loaded recipes like this one. If you plan on buying this book to assist you on your Keto journey, don’t. This book is a prime example of an author jumping on the Keto bandwagon purely as a marketing ploy to support the nearly $30 price tag. The adage you can’t judge a book by it’s cover certainly applies here. The only thing the author forgot is the word “NOT” between Ultimate and Keto!

You NEED this cookbook!
I preordered this cookbook almost a year ago and was like a kid on Christmas getting it delivered today! I’ve had the honor and privilege of following Brittany’s work for years, and she has truly outdone herself with this cookbook. As part of her private fan club group page on Facebook, I’ve gotten to watch her create this book from the beginning and know how much blood, sweat, and tears went into creating it. I got to do some recipe testing for a few recipes within this cookbook and am tickled to see some of my suggestions in the final book!I have a *slight* [read: massive 😂] obsession with collecting cookbooks and have several dozen (we had to purchase a large hutch just to store most of them!). This will easily be my most-used cookbook!Trust me: if you’re a foodie like me, even if you’re not actively doing a keto/low-carb diet, YOU NEED THIS COOKBOOK!!

Whether you eat keto or not if you are gluten-free you will love this book!
Brittany Angell is a gluten-free genius! I have a child that has many food allergies and her books have been a mainstay in my house! So many gluten free recipes rely on things like rice flour, which my child is also allergic to, it can be a very big challenge to find great tasting food but she can have. This new book is incredible! We don't follow keto but we just love these recipes! Can't say enough great things about this book! Thank you for this book and all the great work you do! You have made my job a little easier and my daughter's world a lot tastier!!♥️♥️

Amazing, beautiful cookbook!
The Ultimate Keto cookbook is absolutely beautiful! There are recipes you can use everyday and then there are recipes for those special occasions. Each recipe is illustrated with a full page color photo. The nutrition info for each recipe is in the back index. I highly recommend purchasing this book!

Worth it for the bagel recipe alone!
I haven't tried any of the recipes yet but I have gone through the whole book and marked all the ones I can't wait to try. The bagel and pretzel recipes alone have me very excited. There are some very unusual recipes in the book and I love that! It can get boring when you eat the same things over and over so I can't wait to try some of these recipes that I've never come across a keto version of before. If I had any criticism for the book, I would have preferred the nutrition info to be on the recipe page, but it is in the book and that's what's important. Overall, I think I'm going to enjoy working my way through this book and making the delicious looking food!!

Beautiful AND delicious!
I bought the Kindle version of the book because I have no room for more cookbooks in my kitchen 😜 and while there are beautiful pictures in my version, I can imagine how utterly gorgeous the actual book must be! As I flipped through my e-book, I was amazed at how many recipes I was drawn to try. I was 1/3 through breakfast and I was thrilled I had bought the book! I do not eat keto style but I am gluten, corn, and cow dairy free. I can count on one hand the number of recipes I may not be able to sub successfully. This cook book is inspiring and beautiful. And, having cooked many recipes from Brittany before, I know whatever I make from this book will be a huge hit.

Disappointed after eagerly awaiting the release date.
Have been so looking forward to this book – I pre-ordered in December, so gutted that it is a disappointment.First the pros.1/ It has a photo for every recipe – which is a must as far as I am concerned for any cookery book! We eat with our eyes first – I like to see what my food is going to look like.2/ Although it uses the ridiculous American cup system, it also has ingredients in grams (for those of us not intellectually challenged)And now the cons……1/ The nutritional information is all at the back of the book and not included in the recipe – hate this. No need for it as there is plenty of room on the recipe page, rather than having to go hunt for it.2/ No execution time – can I knock this up in 5 mins or 5 hours?3/ I swear the woman uses sugar-free maple syrup in what feels like 90% of her recipes! I have around 30 keto cookery books and there is usually a few recipes that call for this …..but normally only a handful out of the book – not the majority.4/ As a Keto fiend my cupboards have most of the usual flours required – coconut, almond, flaxseed, sesame, oat fibre and psyllium husk – but to make many of the recipes in this book I now have to also buy lupin flour, garbanzo bean flour (chickpea) and cassava flour!5/ Some recipes not really low carb – at 20g per portion that’s hardly keto (I spotted 1 recipe that asked for cane sugar!)The recipes are ok – nothing really jumped out at me and certainly nothing that I haven’t seen before…so to sum up…disappointed and probably would not buy another of Brittany’s books.

A RECIPE FOR EVERY MEAL, EVERY DAY!
I started marking the recipes I plan to try and I got to page70 (out of 490 whopping pages of recipes) and realized I marked almost every page!!!Brittany has recreated several favourites and soon to be favourites.I made the carnitas and my kids couldn’t stop raving about them. The pancakes were fluffy, not heavy. I’ve been dying for a muffin that’s not eggy or heavy, now I have a few to chose from! Next on the list, since summer is here, is the adult bevy section! Seriously, this book has a recipe for every meal, occasion and celebration 🙂 This one won’t be collecting dust on the bookshelf.

Beautiful book but not ideal for Keto
I love so much about this book. Its absolutely beautiful and the recipes are incredibly creative and delicious and I think Brittany has really poured so much of her heart into it.BUT as someone who has been following Keto for over a year now, I find most of these recipes cannot fit into my daily Keto carb limit (20g per day). I found myself spending hours searching and sorting through the nutritional info at the back of the book in search of recipes that wouldn't use up majority of my carb allocation and those recipes.... are few and far between. Unless of course you are doing OMAD together with Keto, then this book may work for you.Eg.... Not sure how 21g Carbs in a slice of cake or 18g Carbs for a Chocolate Brownie qualifies as a ''Keto Recipe''?!Unfortunately disappointed in this book as an addition to my Keto recipe collection.

Beautiful - but also tasty!
This is just about the most beautifully-photographed book I own, certainly of my cookbooks! The recipes are amazing - so varied, and very delicious from what I've made so far. You will need a lot of different ingredients if you want to try everything, but there is a list on the author's website and there are LOTS of sub suggestions. I bought it for the allergen-friendly aspect; I think that's where the author shines.
