Fits great and keeps me warm when working early mornings on the job site

Super nice and Durable winter jacket. Good range of motion without being constricting even w/ a hoodie on underneath. True to Size as i am 6'3 240lbs, Sleeves are a tad bit long but thats all. I cuffed them.

Couldn’t be happier Im 6’2 195lbs and the large fits perfectly. I like that the sleeve cuffs have adjustment. I have long arms so the length of the sleeves is good for me. Carhartt quality is still there. The canvas backed by wool blanket is the perfect combo and im glad it’s not stuffed with filler. Perfect fall winter jacket and the pleating allows for a hoodie under if needed. Hope to have this for years to come.

When I tried it on after delivery, I was disappointed by 2 things... The sleeves are really long. I wear a 34" sleeve and these were probably 2" longer than my max comfortable length. The stiffness of the material made the buttoned sleeve feel like it was pushing on my hands when at my sides. Slightly uncomfortable. If I kept the jacket, I would have had the sleeve altered. I suppose this may be a "feature" for those that extend their arms when working, it just wasn't for me. Also, the arm holes seem a bit high (aka narrow, as in how a suit fits) making it feel like there wasn't much room in the underarms for anything thicker than a long sleeve T. What I loved. The material is thick giving the impression of long lasting durability. The insulation was decent for late Fall weather in Michigan. Its lining is thicker than the Re-engineered Rugged Flex version of this jacket and extends down the arms. I also appreciate the weather flap behind the zipper. All of this spells quality to me. The bi-swing back is great, no constriction when reaching forward or up with your arms. Great value but I just couldn't justify keeping it if I needed to have it altered.

I’m giving this product 5 stars for now based on the fact that I have other Carhartt products and they have served me well and I expect this one to do the same. I bought this jacket for work, I have a nice Sherpa lined rain defender Carhartt sweater but I knew wearing it to work (I’m a plumber) would snag and possibly ruin the outside. This material feels a lot more abrasion resistant and will hold up for my line of work. I live in Florida, and although it doesn’t snow where I live, it’s not uncommon for the temperatures to drop below freezing early in the morning and feel like the high 20’s. I love the blanket lining and it is VERY warm (for me at least). I bought a large and I’m glad that I did. A medium would have definitely fit better (I’m 6’0, 185 athletic build with broader shoulders than average) but my wife and I do like to vacation in colder areas and having this in a large will allow me to layer if needed. The length isn’t that short cut because the jacket is a relaxed fit and fits loosely. As a service plumber it looks professional and in my opinion can be dressed up and worn out to dinner or a night out in the town or dressed down through rough working environments. Lastly, I feel I got lucky because as the others have posted their pictures, their tags say that theirs were made in other countries, but mine was made right here in the USA, hopefully you get one made here too!

Awesome jacket. Keeps me warm in these Utah winters. Very well made. Heavy duty zipper and the ability to add a hood if needed. Only complaint is it attracts pet hair...
