I was a little concerned when reading some of the reviews - mainly the ones where they said it made their dog sick. As most of the reviewers point out, the cake is very hard. That's understandable given the shelf life. I took the advice of one of the reviewers and heated it up in the microwave before cutting it. That did the trick. It may have been a little pricey, but it was my puppy's first birthday and I wanted to celebrate it. The cake was adorable and plenty big for two dogs. I my puppy and her cousin some of the cake (not all of it) and they loved it! It's been two days and no ill effects. Definitely recommend!

I was so sad to see this cake. I should have made it myself. It was HARD AS A ROCK!! The frosting had to be cut with a knife to place candle. At this point, it was too late to return. It was his FIRST birthday and so so sad that the cake was a disappointment.IT WAS SMALL, HARD AND NASTY. NOT WORTH THE PRICE!!!

This thing was old, wasn’t even like food not even for your dog. Hard as a rock my dog took one sniff and lick and refused it. Which I’m glad because it probably would have made her sick. I deserve my money back honestly, a waist.

Looked very cute, but extremely hard to break & very tough for dog to chew.. and overpriced!!
