Bif Bang Pow! Penny Dreadful The Creature 6-Inch Figure - Convention Excl.

I have been wanting an action figure that resembled the description of Frank in Shelly's novel for ages o I am pleased that this figure exists.The packaging came damaged but because I don't keep that anyway, I still gave the product itself 5 stars.The figure is made well and I love the fact that he wasn't all tied and bound to the package. Figures that are take forever to take out + you worry about breaking the toy just to free it from the box! So he was super easy to remove and I love that. I wish his collar came down off of his face and hair, i.e that it is foldable or more flexible. It's a pity to hide his pretty face so I may have to custom that a bit and that's my only complaint but again just so pleased the figure exists.

I gave this product four stars because I wish it was much bigger - that is a drawback. But it's a very nice memento from the show, particularly for when it ends, and it seems to be well made and durable. The creature from Mary Shelley's novel has always been a favorite of mine, particularly so with Penny Dreadful, since the creature in it is modeled after Shelley's creature, down to the looks of him. Also, Shelley's creature names himself in a way (In the novel, the monster is identified by words such as "wretch", "creature", "monster", "demon", and "it". Speaking to Victor Frankenstein, the wretch refers to himself as "the Adam of your labours", and elsewhere as someone who "would have" been "your Adam", but is instead "your fallen angel.")So too, in Penny Dreadful, the "creature" names himself, the name being John Clare in reference to an English poet, which is pretty ironic since Mary Shelley was married to Percy Bysshe Shelley, an English poet.. He is such a poignant character.

Loved the show & I'm glad they made this collection

Box in good condition. I'm afraid to open it, as I don't want him to try and tear my new creature in half.

As a Penny Dreadful collector, I really liked this selection.

This figure is fantastically sculpted and I wish his coat collar wasn't folded up to hide his beautiful face. However, it's flexible, so there is possibility of folding it down and seeing the accurate sculpt. The rest of the coat is flexible too and has a vent in back and opening in front allowing for versatility in posing. He definitely does cut a distinctly dolorous figure as he stands on your shelf, and his hands are in the perfect position to hold the journal accessory that arrives with his Creator. His scars are also nicely detailed without too much zeal, so there's no pooling paint. A nicely delicate touch was definitely used there. Fantastic likeness, especially with those dull yellow eyes peering into your soul...

I received a tattered box. It was falling apart at its corners and the plastic was almost completely out of the cardboard. It wouldn't even stay in its proper form without tape. It's clearly not been treated well. Disappointed to receive it in such a condition especially since it's a collectable.
