Tactical insights to understand and lead Gen Z
As a busy employer, it’s easy for me to shrug off generational differences and demand everyone conform to the status quo. It’s easy to hire people who talk like me and act like me. This book makes a compelling case that Generation Z and the diversity of thought they’re bringing into the workplace is a major opportunity for innovation. Technology, and its consequences, is not a “nice to have” for Generation Z — it’s everything. Gen Z's are rapidly becoming our employees and customers. So we best understand how to work with them, lead them, and sell to them.Author Ryan Jenkins is the first call I make when I need insight on management strategies and generational dynamics. He’s one of few generational consultants with ears-to-the-ground in dozens of forward-thinking organizations. The Generation Z Guide is a timely volume of strategies and tactics for effectively engaging a little understood generation. I’d highly recommend The Generation Z Guide to managers who are seeking overlooked opportunities and to employers who are terrified of echo chambers in their organizations.

Here comes Gen Z.....you better figure them out now!
Ryan has done it again! His Guide to Millennial's book was fantastic and his current book on Gen Z is another home run (is that a Baby Boomer thing to say?). I am in the sales training business for tech firms. The audiences are getting younger and younger and Ryan helped me really understand the Millennial's. But now I see young people in my sessions right out of college, the Gen Z crew. The Generation Z Guide helped me see some of the similarities between these two generations, but more importantly, the differences. I now have audiences that range from the Boomers to Gen Z, so to be successful, I have to craft messages and techniques that will hit all of them. Thanks Ryan, I thought Gen Z was just Millennial's on steroids, but now I see that is not true. You have opened my eyes and helped me get better at my job! Here comes Gen Z....you better figure them out now!

GEN Z STARTED IN 1997!!!!!!
Why have you stunted the children of 1997 to millennials??? None of them remember 9/11. Millennials ended in 1996 and Generation Z started in 1997. Look at all the research that points to this dividing line. The author should correct that terrible mistake in the book.

Well researched, concise, and actionable.
Much like the author's first book, this book gives clear actionable steps a company/person can use when interacting with Gen Z. The author supports his recommendations with lots of well researched data and real world examples. Many times when I read books about business (or self help), I feel disappointed by the focus on abstractions without anything "real world". This book does NOT do that. For example, in chapter 16 "How Generation Z Finds, Selects, and Applies for Jobs" the author points out that YouTube is one of the top ways Gen Z learns about potential employers. THEN, he gives a list of 14 crucial elements for creating an effective Gen Z recruiting video that could actually be used by an employer to create just that kind of video. Reading or referencing this book is time well spent for anyone interacting with Gen Z; think recruiting, training, managing, selling to, coaching etc. Overall, the book is well done, interesting, and easy to read.

Good Information
The book contains solid information for businesses looking to recruit and invest in GenZ. The biggest negative I found for the book is the continual references to the author's involvement in other ventures. It got to the point that I was counting the mentions of the ventures rather than paying attention to the material in the book.

Great insight into generational diversity and tool you can use now!
Ryan Jenkins opens his new book, The Generation Z Guide, with this quote from Abraham Lincoln: “I don’t like that man. I must get to know him better.” This quote shows the power of understanding generations and generational differences.I’ve seen Ryan speak several times and he is an engaging and knowledgeable speaker. He brings those same qualities to his books. He starts with the “Why?” – why is this topic important? With the life expectancy increased over the past 40 years, there are now more generations interacting the workplace than ever before.Ryan goes beyond the “Why?” and provides tools and hacks that today’s leader can use now to make a difference. Using these tools and hacks, a leader can create a welcoming environment for Generation Z and will help improve morale and productivity.Due to Ryan’s insight into generational diversity, this book should be required reading for all leaders.

A Very Helpful Guide On Understanding / Leading Generation Z In The Workplace
As a business professional, I'm always looking to understand the future trends of the workplace. I'm familiar with the author through his first book "The Millennial Manual," which served as an introductory lesson on generational trends and Millennials. With his latest work, the author tackles Generation Z, which admittedly I knew little about. To quote the author, "True knowledge is understanding the extent of your own ignorance." This booked helped me take on my own ignorance. As my workplace continues to become more multi-generational, I need to challenge my own assumptions and learn about what makes this next generation tick. It also connects current trends, habits, and other relevant facts to help me better understand our world. I will use this book to help improve my workplace culture, better understand my colleagues, and recruit top notch talent from Generation Z.
