Sun-In Spray-In Hair Lightener, Lemon Fresh, 4.7 Ounce

Caution, picture overload! I am so satisfied with this product!In the pictures, the bottom half of my hair was bleached traditionally (I used bleaching powder with 40 vol developer). I always experiment with my hair, always trying out new bleaching techniques, so I remembered about a bottle of Sun In I had in my bathroom forever. The reason It was forgotten there is that I only used it as directed at first. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with spraying it in your hair and letting the sun do the job. The hair lightens up subtly, and looks lovely. That worked great for streaks in my daughters' hairs (the youngest one is an ashy blonde, the middle daughter has middle brown hair, and the oldest has dark brown hair).But I needed to match my previously bleached hair, which was stripped of all of the pigment to the blondest blonde shade. So, I decided to use the Sun In with a blow dryer on the hottest setting. The first round gave me an orangy hue because my natural hair is brown, but I followed up every day for a week until I got the desired level of blonde. Today, I did the unthinkable and used a flat iron to tie it all up and perfect the look. And, WOW! The flat iron did a fabulous job! I'm throwing away all of my bleaching powder and the arsenal of developers, as I am NEVER going back to them! I like the flat iron better, because it didn't cook my skin like the blow dryer, and it worked faster.Tips:1. use a makeup brush (because it's more absorbent) to apply the product on the area you want to lighten. You control exactly where the product goes that way. Go with a light hand, this stuff REALLY WORKS!2. only pour a few drops of the product in a plastic container at a time. The more you let that peroxide sit out, the less efficient it becomes.3. Invest in a blue shampoo, to neutralize orange tones, or purple shampoo to neutralize yellow tones.4. This product works, but if your hair is dark, it'll take more applications5. don't use the flat iron method on damaged hair.Have fun!!!

It works keeping, my medium brown hair much lighter. I’ve been using it for years. Does not dry out my hair. After a shower, spray on damp hair and blow dry. You might have to repeat dampening hair and reapplying to achieve the desirable shade, initially. Once the desirable shade of hair is attained, maintenance is easy with just one application instead of a few. It lasts weeks. You will see over time how long to wait before reapplying to maintain your shade. Can work in the Sun light as well, just less predictable due to strength of sunlight & length of time you are out doors.

So I’ve been using this once a month for the last 12 months. It works GREAT. however, I’m so sad and discouraged to say that after being in denial for quite some time, it has absolutely destroyed my hair. My hair was very thick, luxuriously wavy naturally, and healthy. Not to mention It reached past my butt in length.I should never have tried to regain my old color! I was super blond naturally for most of my life and after having my first baby, it got really dark. I wanted my old color back. Big mistake. I got the color back. But. I have lost 8 inches of length, a good third of the thickness I had, and my hair is limp, flat, dull, and brittle despite everything I’ve done to try and combat that. It falls out in clumps when I brush it or even just run my fingers through it. I am HEARTBROKEN. it took me 12 years to grow my hair out, as it grows very slowly. I’m so upset. The color it gave me was beautiful, but I should have known better. :’(

Works great with my color treated black hair to fill the gap! I spray it evenly every hour x 2-3 times while I'm at the beach. When I'm home, I leave the sprayed hair for a couple of hours then use the hair dryer. Applying the conditioner recommended after use

Smells like coconut..like sun tanning bronzer..no chem smell. Um wet hair, sprayed as instructions said to do...sitting outside. Sun out but cloudy.ny spring weather. No hair dryer in my house.. hair was weird feeling after spraying in..matty texture occured like loose moose spray. hope hair doesnt fall out..my only worry...true blond, trying to restore color. Have never dyed or bleached my hair. Ever. 36yrs old. Female. Full head of hair. Just trying to get the dirty look out ..will update post later. Package arrived 10 mins ago. Bottle was leaking..not cool...but used anyways. Price went down 3 dollars today since I bought yesterday...another not cool. C'mon yous...package better please.

I give it 5 stars easily. It makes your hair look like you’ve been out in the sun, and to the beach all year no matter where you live. I was born with platinum blonde hair, and it just got a little reddish blonde as an adult. I would only recommend it on light blonde hair and or dark blonde hair. It gives lovely highlights. If your hair is brown it will probably turn your hair an orange color, because my family member tried it on her brown hair and it turned orange.

Cheap and easy and looks just as good as going to the salon for highlights and without the price tag, dark roots between visits, or change in hair texture from bleach damage. My hair feels healthier after ditching the salon dye actually.
