Twist-Erase III Mechanical Pencil (0.5mm), Green Barrel

I have been using these pencils for over 5 years now and although I usually am not picky about writing utensils, there is NO OTHER PENCIL I WANT TO USE THAN THIS PENCIL. Everything is perfect about this pencil and it’s blown my mind how much I love it.The build is firm, high-quality, durable, and precise. The color is subtle yet crisp. The grip is thick and comfortable, not conducive to any soreness in the hand. The eraser is flawless and there’s no other eraser with a better design (and I’ve ordered and used a plethora of pencils). The writing experience is flawless and the pencil performs with a precision not found amongst other pencils.This pencil will last you a lifetime, it’s worth the price tag, the value is exceedingly great. I have been using this same type of twist-erase mechanical pencil from Pentel since my grade school days in the 80's. I have tried different iterations (click, plastic-types, metal-types) from practically every manufacturer out there and keep coming back to Pentel Twist-erase. I literally keep these in every room of the house, and at least five in my college bag because people always want to borrow one. This is the absolute favorite pencil in the office. I have been using these for over 15 years and hope they never stop making them.

Very comfortable and feels of quality, and the large twist eraser is my favorite part. Lots of eraser length, and a soft eraser that is so much more effective and enjoyable to use than the typical crumbly orange erasers on wooden pencils. And you can buy refills of the erasers if you ever do work through one.

Pentel Twist-Erase Green Barrel 12-pack: These turned out to look more plasticky than I thought they would from the product photo. The barrel's not too bad, it's opaque but the color looks vaguely metallic-ish, however, the grip is a slightly different green that looks toy-ish & makes it look cheap.The other problem with the appearance is that each of the 12 pencils has a white upc sticker on the barrel that, if you take it off, leaves a sticky patch that I could not remove with any of the usual solutions. Annoying.Overall, the pencil works as desired. As far as its utility, my main criticism would be that the eraser twists down sometimes with movement, so it's not as stable as one might wish, especially if you have a lot to erase.I don't regret the purchase, but given my many previous positive experiences with Pentel's brand, I'm not as happy with it as I'd expected to be

Absolutely love this mechanical pencil. It is very comfortable to write with, easy to advance more lead and the eraser is very well designed with the twist up.

I love these pencils. They are sturdy, not cheap plastic. My favorite part is the way the eraser winds up. You have to actually twist it up. Other similar pencils have the twist eraser, but the eraser twists as you erase. Definitely recommentd these Pentel pencils.
