Let's start from the beginning. I asked a question about the bowl and within a few hours, I had an answer from the seller. I was pretty impressed. When I put in my order, the seller contacted me again, acknowledging the fact that I had contacted them earlier (the day before) with my question and that though the bowl cannot be guaranteed to look just like the one pictured, it would be similar. The only thing you can really "choose" is the color. I chose brown like the one pictured. I thanked them for being concerned about whether or not I would be satisfied and let them know I would be continuing with my order and welcoming the surprise. They were very hospitable and let me know they'd be sending it out that day. And so they did! Same day order, same day shipment! This little beauty came so quick; almost a week before the earliest expected arrival date! Completely overwhelmed, I opened that little baby up and started practicing. 3 hours and nothing. I was so disappointed with myself. First time using a singing bowl, I searched YouTube for instructions. I heard slow and firm was the key. So I did just that. I pressed the striker so hard against the bowl my hand was losing circulation. My husband picked it up once I set it down to get ready for bed and he had it singing instantly! I baulked at him. How? How does a man that hasn't even touched a bowl before just pick it up and make it sing when I had been trying for hours. Well, just after he completed the task at hand, I picked it up and was immediately able to do it, too. Beautiful sound. I can't put it down. Though it doesn't resonate very long because it is so small, it is just so beautiful to hear. Well worth the purchase. If you've never played a bowl before, btw, firm just means keep constant contact with the bowl. Don't hurt yourself like I did.

This product arrived promptly and was well packed. I enjoy its tone when struck and it is very attractive, as well. Very pleased.
