SUBEA Tribord EasyBreath Full Face, Anti-Fog, Hypoallergenic Silicone Facial Lining Snorkeling Mask

Yeah, so this mask is awesome. I took it to Roatan Honduras and snorkeled off the beach for 5 days. I did lot's of research on lots of masks and was glad I decided on this one. For those who like to look around like me I will save you the trouble and give you a full review here. The strap really does work well and it does not pull your hair, my wife had a smaller size and she really liked that about it. The mask adjusts easily even while in the water with it on.I like the full field of vision you get with this mask, I tried it on and compared it to my normal mask and there is a big difference.True to the description, the mask does not fog up and I never used any anti-fog spray or soap for that. I saw others doing it, but not us. My wife said her mask never fogged even once the entire trip. So Tribord really did a good job there. I have to put the caveat on this that it will not fog as long as you have it adjusted correctly. By correctly I mean you need a good seal just beneath your eyes to separate your exhale air from coming up in front of your eyes. After playing around with it for a few minutes I found this was easily doable for me by adjusting the mask either up or down vertically on my face. For me it was bringing it down just a quarter inch. That solved the initial fog problem I had since it made a good seal on my face. After that point I had little to no fog problems and when I did it meant that I didn't have my mask adjusted correctly, which was an easy fix every time.For a full face mask I have to say it was very comfortable. I wore mine for 2 hour excursions and loved it. My wife was on the border between the M/L and S/M. I originally got her the M/L and it was a little big she said, so we swapped it for the S/M. That was much better, but she did complain about it hurting her jaw after a while. For those on the edge, you may just have to try it on and adjust the straps. It didn't stop my wife from using the mask constantly and she loved it. Next time we go for a long time like that we may take a back up normal mask just for when she gets tired in this one. But that was just how the size worked out for her and it is still her mask of choice. For me, mine was great.The valve at the bottom worked very well. I found I was able to clear water from inside my mask even while I was underwater simply by blowing out. The really cool thing about this mask was that even when I did get water in, I only remember it getting in my eyes one time. This is because the Tribord routes the water down the front and sides of the mask and it drains out the valve on the bottom. This was a great feature. Other times I simply stood up when I was in shallow water or poked my head up when I was in deeper water and let it drain out the valve by gravity. Only times I got water in was when I didn't have it tight or when I was near upside down underwater.Being able to breath through your mouth and nose was also great. No mouthpiece to bite on and cause discomfort so that was a real plus. The integrated snorkel was great and it never let any water in.So something people bring up in reviews about this mask is that it is harder to breath. I can confirm that. It is harder to breath, but during my 5 days I only had one occasion where it bothered me and I needed to take a short break to pull it off and take a few breaths. But that is mainly because I was swimming very hard and constantly going under and back up. For the majority of our trip we floated and tooled around the top 3 feet of water and my breathing was just fine.Another thing you will read in reviews is that it is harder to go under with this mask. That is true and it is more buoyant, but easily solved if you just blow out a few bubbles. I found by doing that I could sit there on the bottom without popping back up to the top. I laid on the bottom with a gopro right next to a scorpion fish with no problems while wearing this mask.Before I purchased I was initially frustrated with the lack of a gopro camera mount for this mask. I bought it anyway due to the positive reviews about its ability to resist fog. After using it, I am actually glad i bought this and I don't think I would have attached my GoPro to a mount if I had it. No one has mentioned this in any reviews I have seen. But if I had mounted my GoPro above my eyes then most of my videos would have been bad and partially in and out of the water repeatedly. Forget about wanting the mount and just get put your camera on a simple stick. I went snorkeling to observe the sea life. If that's what you want to video then you will be disappointed with a head mount. I took a flexible 1.5 foot mount and swam the entire time with it in my right hand. That enabled me to shove it right up next to fish, sea turtles, under coral to video lobsters, and I got close up video of a devil ray scorpion fish, which I didn't want to stick my head near.The last thing I will review is whether you can go under very deep with this mask. I had no problems whatsoever going under. I was concerned about that from all the reviews I read, but if you have fins on (and why wouldn't you?) then this will not be a problem. The first day I got down about 9-10 feet and my left ear was hurting pretty bad. It is true you cannot clear your ears with a full face mask. On the second day I found that I was able to overcome this easily simply by snorting out my nose on my way down. My ears popped naturally with a simple snort. If you think about it, your ears are wanting to equalize and just need some help from you. For the rest of the trip I was able to equalize simply by snorting a little air through my nose after I passed about 8-10 feet. Also, after 5 days of snorkeling several hours per day, your breath really does start to improve. Also I think this is in part because you are working a tad bit harder for breaths in the full face masks. This worked to my advantage. With a decent set of Cressi fins and simply blowing out a little air through my nose on the way down I was surprised I was able to get to the bottom in 30 feet of water repeatedly. This mask did not stop that and I no longer believe reviews saying this mask stops you from going under. That's for people who want to take huge gulps of air and wonder why they can't even make it to the bottom of a pool even without a mask on. I've got the GoPro videos to prove it with me following two sea turtles at depth.As an aside, if you are a relatively new snorkeler like me, get a good set of longer fins because this mask will not stop you from enjoying your trip and the water.

unfortunately the model only fit Caucasian face but not Asian face. it pinches against my cheek bone and doesn't seal the jaw area well for typical Asian face. I had high hope for this unit and order one day shipping before my vacation. it created so much pain on my cheek bone that lasted for hours after just putting on for a few minutes at home.this product earns 5 star in term of material and craftsmanship, but it absolutely need more sizes (only two sizes available according to their website and at the time of purchase, the size chart is also way off).there is also an issue of "dead zone", without actually use it in water, i can already feel this issues could be quite serious. unlike the traditional tubes (and a good tube from snorkeling bob can almost completely eliminate dead zone), this design has a lot of mouth/face volumes that cannot be fully circulated.

You definitely want to get a QUALITY version of one of these types of masks. Subea/Tribord is one. The material is superior to the cheapie versions, the seal is not just more "robust" its a world of difference between this and one just $10-12 cheaper. I bought this one, and a cheaper one, the cheap one, $39.99 vs $51, is worthless. saved $12, now cant return it as I used it only recently.The seal on this works even on a 4 day growth of beard, seals extremely well, the snorkel itself seals virtually instantly if swamped by a wave, or diving down to retrieve some "treasures".Make sure you get the right size, check your face. if you are borderline, I would go with the smaller version. I have the M/L, but its barely small enough. Dont get me wrong, it seals, perfectly, its just a matter of facial size. If I lose a few pounds, this might not seal properly. My fiance has a bit rounder face, and it fits her perfectly on this size, and she is only 5'5", with just a normal, average sized womens face, so sizing "window" is rather wide.Mask doesnt do well with fog, they can call it anti-fog, but, that depends on the person. some people naturally aspirate more moisture with their breath than others. Recommend you buy Scuba quality anti fog solution, you wont regret it, and wont end up ruining your Caribbean snorkeling trip by not seeing nearly everything. Not a knock against the mask, you simpy will want some anti fog solution to be SURE you enjoy your snorkel trip.

Did my research before buying one of these masks. Trust me... do the research! These ones are rated at the top from professional divers... they have been amazing on all our trips. 2hrs++ snorkelling with no leaks (except when I smiled too big & I let in a bit of water..oops...by I’m not complaining) life changing addition to our trips. I have a severe fear of my face in the water, this mask has changed me, although it takes me a second to adjust I eventually calm my nerves and trust that I will be ok. Amazing!!! Totally worth the investment (spending that little bit extra on a great quality mask)

Je faisais de la plongée avec un masque régulier et avec ce masque Tribord c'est fantastique...On voit vraiment bien et pas d'eau dans le nez ou la bouche. Pas de tuba dans la bouche, c'est tellement plaisant. Mais vous ne pouvez pas plongée dans la profondeur comme avec un tuba. Si vous restez sur le dessus, c'est parfait. Je le recommande. C'est marque est garantie sans buée .

This mask has changed my snorkelling. Previous masks would always fog and fill with water, impeding my enjoyment. We just returned from a 1 week trip to Akumal where we went Whale Shark diving and snorkelling every day for over an hour. No leaking, no fogging. My husband was able to dive down with it, again no leaking, no fogging. I would never go back to the hold type mask. Some people have had concerns regarding drownings, I found the mask easy to remove, however. I would recommend always wearing a life vest.

Went to Mexico and I'm not a great snorkeler! Most masks don't fit my small head and manly schnozzola. I always end up with water in the mask, drinking some water or filling my nostrils. With this full-face mask, I was able to relax and enjoy. It helped immensely with my anxiety of snorkelling in the ocean!

Purchases two different masks (Seabeast and Tribord EasyBreath). While manufactured using quality components with good mechanical design, the Tribord mask had a narrow viewing width and had lots of distortion of viewing angle along with perimeter of the mask. Ended up sending this back and keeping the Seabeast.

My husband found this mask to be very good if you have a beard you need to trim it up a little higher under the chin to make a complete seal. You can also pull up on the head bands to fit it more snuggly to your face. It's a great mask.

only issue is you feel pressure when diving deeper that 3 m. otherwise very nice product

Absolutely recommend this mask to anyone and everyone. I love the fact it does not fog up, no mouth piece. The clear view all around is amazing.
