amazing!
these chopsticks are exactly what I asked for. my dad bought these for me because I'm learning how to use them, and they're so easy to use. i love the weight they have, it makes it very easy to control them, as I'm just starting out using chopsticks. the colour is perfect, i love the gold accents with the black sticks. there's no taste to them at all, all i can taste is my ramen. these are super heavy duty, and i definitely recommend them to anyone who wants to start using, or just wants chopsticks, especially pretty ones like these. definitely worth the money for these beauties! they also stack right back in the box once you're done! so glad they're dishwasher safe, too.

Fun to use
We were interested in learning how to use chopsticks so we decided on trying these. I love the color of these chopsticks! They are true to the picture in color. They are very easy to hold and easy to pick up noodles once we learned how to actually use them. They are not too thin and seem to hold up well so far. They do not leave a taste in your mouth and do not tend absorb food odors. They also wash quite well.

Great purchase.
Sometimes it’s the little things. I threw out all of my old mismatched bamboo chopsticks and got a set of these. They are extra long and heat proof, so they are great for cooking. The fiberglass means they are easier to sanitize than bamboo. I keep them in a decorative glass on my counter so I can grab a pair whenever I need them (or just one as a stir-stick). The bright colors are a lot nicer to see than the mismatched ones I threw out. Highly recommend the upgrade.

Good, but not great.
I decided to invest in some chopsticks. I read a lot of reviews for different models and settled on three, with this model being one of the three and is on the far right in the photo. I noticed an Asian family friend of mine has many chopsticks and they are always using the wooden ones. The ones that is noticibly never used at their house were the stainless steel ones, so I asked why. The answer I got was not to buy them, that they are difficult to use, and that the rings around the tip was not enough to grip the food. I wanted something durable and hygienic, so going against the advice I received and learning from them at the same time, I ordered only ones that have gripping patterns that were NOT the circle rings. I am no expert and did not grow up using chopsticks, but I have many years experience using them now. Of the three models I purchased, two are stainless steel (316 stainless, 304 stainless), and the third is this fiberglass model which I thought would be better at insulating from heat when frying, etc. I did not know what to expect. I thought the stainless steel ones would be heavy, when in fact they turned out to be as light as this fiberglass model. The 18/10 steel (i.e., 316 stainless) model was as heavy (if you can say that; it's actually pretty light) as the fiberglass one, but heavier than the cheap free bamboo ones I got from a restaurant. The 18/8 steel (304 stainless) model pictured in the middle was actually the lightest of the three and was on par weight wise with the bamboo ones. The real test came at using the chopsticks to pick up cherry tomatoes, fresh grapes, and individual grains of cooked rice; as I thought these would be the most challenging. After all, they were either going to work, or I should have listened to my friend's good advice. Surprise, these updated models actually work and easily performed! I found that the 316 stainless steel model was the easiest to use in picking up the cherry tomatoes and the fresh grapes, and while the fiberglass model had more difficulty picking up cherry tomatoes it did a slightly better job at picking up grains of rice. The 304 stainless model fell somewhere in between. Although in the middle for gripping ability, I have to give it kudos for being extra light---enough to make a noticeable difference. So there you have it, a rather unscientific, but fairly practical assessment for what works. The updated design with gripping pattern etched into the stainless steel bolds well, and apparently the type of pattern makes a difference in how well each of these durable chopsticks perform.

AWESOME CHOP STICKS!!!
AWESOME CHOP STICKS! WHO KNEW?! So, silly me, I thought I was oh-so sophistocated with my ebony and ivory/ abalony antique chop sticks.....Well, I am now an avid wok cooker and my ratty old wooden take out ones kept breaking, the old fancy one's got packed for the move and here I am chop-less! So I ditzed around on Amz for some cheap ones to tide me over till I move/ unpack, and found these. WELL! These are the rock-stars of chop sticks, I tell ya'! They have a nice heft [ weight] a solid balance of hand, they have a textured finish so the foods don't slip off [ like my fancy ones :-(] and they run through the dishwasher like a breeze, CAUSE they are just large enough that they don't slip through the silverware bin holes, so Voila!!! Perfection! I am so glad they came in a set of 5? 6? so I have plenty, but, honestly, I have had these over a year now and I don't know how you could ruin them! They are metal so they are very sturdy, but, not heavy either-just the right weight! Delighted w/ these! Pretty too!
