Saveurs de la Terre Walnut Oil, 16.9-Ounce

This oil is pretty good. I've used it for sauteing and for making pestos and salad dressings. I honestly don't enjoy it as much as the La Tourangelle brand, but there is nothing wrong with it. This oil can also be used to bring wood furniture back to life.​

This walnut oil leaves a bitter aftertaste. I have had walnut oils in the past that are smoother than this one.

Just make sure you'll be able to use all of it quick.. or put on the fridge or something. there's a lot of heat where I live and I didn't use it all soon enough so it became a little stale

In our household, walnut oil is a staple. When the La Tourangelle Roasted Walnut Oil stopped being offered on Amazon (temporarily, apparently), we had to scramble and find a replacement. We were delighted that reviewers seemed to find the Saveurs de la Terre Walnut Oil a _superior_ alternative.To our dismay, these cans came (dented on arrival, as is common in our experience w/ Amazon, sadly) and in the taste test did not fare well. The oil tastes stale and dull, rather than bright and flavorful. We're not willing to put this in salads.We have since gone back to La Tourangelle, whose various oils have yet to disappoint us.

It doesn't taste good and even mixing it with my other smoothie ingredients doesn't help. I have found that I cannot accommodate the taste and have yet to find anything that masks it to change my opinion.

This oil is very good. Much cheaper than I could get locally. Use it mostly to make granola, goes so well with all the nuts I put into it. Also very good in salad dressing.
