MOOG EV800049 Steering Tie Rod End for Subaru Outback

This unit replaced a tie rod that was somewhat worn on a used car I had just purchased. It fit perfectly and allowed my mechanic to properly align the wheels. It appears to be OEM quality and I anticipate that it will last. I have over 1,000 miles on it over some "interesting" WV roads so far and have no issues. As I had someone else doing the work, the perfect fit was money in my pocket as well. I anticipate that it will last the rest of the life of the car.

I bought these tie rod ends for my 2010 Subaru Outback. Tie rods were easily installed once I bought the special tool that is absolutely needed to remove the originals and install the new ones. CAUTION!! Buy the tool now from Amazon or pay twice the price at your local parts store. The tool is a Lisle 46800 Inner Tie Rod Removal Tool.

Fits perfectly on my 05 sti, it's a few millimeters smaller in diameter than the stock one but the threads are the same. For the price it's worth it. After 10 months on my car, I have no complains.

Fairly simple to install.

Exact fit 2007 Forester LL Bean Model. Came pre-greased too.

Did not thread in. Stud is to big. Wrong size? This is what amazon car guide said fit, this is second time a Moog part was to big. Previous purchase was Moog front end links and after install, sat car down on ground and links touch sway bar. I found so far that part # EV800361 is for 2003 wrx not EV800049 which I'm sending back. Part seemed better then oem looked beefier, maybe bad thing which could mean different size ball joint...hmmmmm
