This book is amazing!
The times are crazy right now, and my organization is turning to my training group to help transform all F2F content into virtual events. Biting off both the technological and facilitation aspects of the need is an enormous task to take on, even for seasoned trainers. On top of designing content and running events, we also have to advise other groups and point to resources that demonstrate excellence in virtual engagement. This book is one of those resources. This book is so helpful, showing you what interactivity looks like in virtual meetings, webinars, and training - it has so many ideas to help both my training group, and those that rely on us. I also really love all the different ways the author has demonstrated how to make slides "interactive". It's really reframed the way that I think about designing slides for Virtual Training. I'm excited to share this book with the rest of my training group as we try to help our marketing and sales groups redesign their content and prepare for the current demands of these times. I also want to add that I have seen the author speak multiple times at learning and development conferences, and she also partners with ATD to deliver trainings on virtual engagement. She can do it on any scale and in any language - and is extremely helpful if you reach out to her for help with whatever your virtual trainings needs are. Do not hesitate to get this book and connect with the author. Also, I want to add that I was not compensated in any way for this review - I'm just someone whose been in curriculum / instructional design for a long time, and I just really appreciate the insight that this book and its author has provided me and my team.

The interactions are critical in a live webinar.
I found a number of activities for virtual training. Sometimes I tweaked to fit the topic at hand and sometimes I took word for word. Some of the activities seemed very similar so I needed to change it up to be a different type of interaction. Examples: breakout rooms, chats, added Kahoot to answers t/f questions)

Wake them up in Webinars
Found some great tips to activate online webinars and hopefully keep attendees from zoning out!

Exceeded all expectations!
If you work in e-learning, this book will be on your shelf for years to come. Many of the activities relate directly to teaching people how to interact with the delivery platform, but it is full of 100% gems. I've even used some of the ideas to create my own training games. Worth every penny. Buy this immediately.

The book and author are great!
I read this book when I first started exploring taking my in-classroom training in a virtual setting. This provided the right activity to get over my initial fear of virtual training not being engaging enough. I would certainly recommend the book and look up the author as well, her website had additional resources.
