Description: Sul-Po-Mag (Sulfur-Potassium-Magnesium) has become a generic name for the naturally occurring mineral salt called Langbeinite, or Potassium Magnesium Sulfate K2Mg2(SO4)3. Langbeinite is made up of three important plant nutrients. It is considered a potash (K) fertilizer. Langbeinite is completely water soluble, but does not dissolve as fast as some other forms of potassium, making it good for slowly releasing and readily available nutrients, but not good for spraying. It has a neutral pH so it does not affect soil acidity or alkalinity. Langbeinite is also low in chloride salt, so along with the slow release of nutrients, it will not burn most plants. Our Sul-Po-Mag is a “feed grade” product for use as a mineral supplement for livestock and their rumen (stomach) bacteria. It is “recognized as safe” for its ingredients and purity by government regulatory agencies. Application Rate: As with most minerals, the addition of too much of any mineral can cause an out of balance with other minerals giving negative effects with plant growth. Your fertilizing needs may require different amounts of potassium, magnesium, and sulfur than is in this product so other nutrients would need to be mixed with it to achieve balance. A soil test is the only way to know. If you find you need all 3 of these nutrients or even 2 of them, this could be a very good product to use. As with other organic fertilizers, you may need to apply it 10 to 20 pounds per 1000 square foot or LESS. Directions for use: Apply with a fertilizer spreader, hand held spreader, or by hand spreading to a known size of area with the amount required. In lawns, spread on the grass and water in. In planting beds, it is best to mix into the soil down to root level. Usually no more than a foot, but 4” to 8” is fine. Guaranteed Analysis: Potassium (K) 18.00% Min Magnesium (Mg) 11.00% Min Sulfur (S) 22.00% Min

Worked well on indoor ferns, too early for outside plants.
We are still a few weeks away from the 'growing season' so I have not applied any of the Sul-Po-Mag to outdoor plants. I did use it sparingly on a couple of ferns in the house and they became greener within days. The new fronds are also greener and emerge a little bigger than recent growth..

The product looks good. It does come in a fitted plastic bag
The product looks good. It does come in a fitted plastic bag, like it says in the description. The bag isn't sealed, just folded over. The product does look like sand, so some of it was falling out. Taping up the bag would be a good idea. Will order again in the future.

Bought this and got a different bag, it's yellow and it says "Feed grade Magnesium Sulfate Potash" I'm still going to use it but there's no application rates on the bag.

Great Product, Great Company
This is hard to find in any store near me so I ordered online. I expanded our garden this year and really needed it for potatoes. The company is excellent when it comes to delivering the product quickly and without issue. I would buy again.
