"The Definite Article You May Say."
I was excited when it was announced that the "Fourth Doctor Regenerated Action Figure" was coming out, but I was a little sad when this figure was only with the "Fourth Doctor Time Capsule" DVD set in the UK.But in October 2014, Doctor Who toys.net announced that the good old USA was getting the figure, but not until January/ Febuary of 2015. Well, it came out early and just in time for Christmas for 2014! So, you are probably asking, how is the figure? Well, here is what I think:The figure has the Third Doctors frilled shirt, but it is greener than the UK's, and the UK's figure had Fourth Doctor's hair swept back. This is not the case with the USA figure, it has the orignal head and hair sculpt from the basic Wave 1 Fourth Doctor figure, but it looks like his hair is lighter in the USA version. I like it better than the UK figure, because I think they did not get the face right in the UK version. The sculpt for the frilled shirt and coat is perfect and has been made very well. I love the glossy paint Character Options/ Underground Toys used on the coats lapel edges, and for the coats buttons. And I hope that they use this sculpt for the shirt and coat in Third Doctor figures in the future.We are lucky to get this action figure, and I hope that they will put out, and re-release other regenerated figures down the road. I think it is a must have!
