The Happy Hedgehog Band Paperback – February 1, 1994

This is the most delightful and wholesome book. The story moves the spirit to a camaraderie of play and the joy of spontaneous creativity! It has been a favorite of mine since it was first published. I recently purchased some young children's hand-held instruments like kazoos, bells, castanets, etc for my nieces and purchased another copy of this book to package with the instruments, for inspiration -- not that they need any inspiration--they find abundant inspiration everywhere!

We bought this book many years ago to read to our kids when they were little and it was their first choice to read at night for a long time. There is so much to share with the kids and get them involved in the reading process. The pacing, the illustrations, the wording - it's all wonderful!

I have a 2.5 year old boy who cannot get enough of this book. We have read it to him so many times that he knows every word by heart and can read the book himself. Highlights:- The text is beautifully written- The story is simple and easy to follow- Children like to participate by making the various sounds

My class loves acting it out. It's a wonderfully noisy book.

A great book, a fun book that children will enjoy. They enjoy joining in with the sounds of the instruments and it has inspired some of them to make their own music.
