I was a bit worried from some of the reviews about rustic look if there is paint and also on the picture I didn’t see the authenticity stickers so I wasn’t sure if it is the real one but it totally is! Really amazing, and authentic. Stickers are there, everything is natural clay no paint or anything else to worry about. Looks great, cooks the best rice you will ever have. Arrived wrapped in bubbles so would not be worried about that either.

Beats an 8x price rice cooker. It’s a bit small but cooks 3 uncooked cup of rice beautifully ( Japanese rice cup, not the big US one). Needs a few trial to figure out the best setting of the stove (high enough heat to boil in 10min regardless the amount of rice, 3min to simmer, then 20min after stop the cooking. Don’t open the lid until 20min passes).

I watched a video showing rice prepared in a clay pot on the stove top and "needed" to have one! I'm glad I bought it because it looks so nice and does it's job very well. Because it's fussier to use (and then clean) than my automatic rice maker, I'll probable not use it very often, but when I have the time, it's worth the effort. I recommend it.

I knew it was broken before opening the box. It sounded like rough stones colliding into each other, followed by the sound of small, grainy pebbles and sand. Why does Misuzu ship these handmade, Japanese ceramic pots so poorly, without sufficient protection/wrapping/insulation? Absolutely terrible and I'll never order from them again. I also sent an email to Misuzu so they can see the photo as well. Amazon requires me to send this broken pot back in order to get my refund. Hugely inconvenient.

Love it, only used once. Only negative is the directions for use did not come in english. I had to call my Japenese friend to get directions for use since I had never used one before. I also like the price was a 1/3 of other vendors for same product. Came in 3 days which was also nice!

The media could not be loaded. The pot is very well made. The size is perfect. The color and design are typical Japanese high art-modest look yet high quality. What really made me fell in love with the pot is that the rice taste so much more delicious 😋I haven’t used it for soup making yet. Just can’t wait to write a review on this product. Love love love it!!!

It says there will be an English translation, nothing came in English.

This is beautifully made, sturdy, lovely golden sheen. I would agree that it makes enough rice for 3 people. My husband is a rice guy. He makes two servings at a time. He says the rice made in this pot is the best he's ever tasted (jasmine). I dropped this on the floor, no damage or chips. An unbelievably inexpensive but quality-made by hand in Japan rice cooker.
