Its still early...
So far, I had this a couple of weeks! So here's my honest opinion! My 1st reaction when i opened the box is WOW!! It reminds me of my Xbox Kinect. Now plug it in, but keep in mind the ac adapter is a lil short, but no big deal! The base is adjustable, so i can mount it on top of my TV with no problem. Set up is very simple, just download the app & it walked me through the steps. The Singlecue app also lets me know what devices are compatible at the moment! TV, cable & satellite box, and media streamers so far! It does work with Roku, Apple TV etc! I have a Vizio tv, Apple tv, Roku 4, & a TWC digital adapter! The digital adapter's model does not show in the "Compatible Devices" section, but i did get it to work with my Singlecue! Yay...But the main reason I purchased this amazing tech is for the gesture control! The 1st few tries frustrated me! When i raise my index finger, It wouldnt recognize a lot of times! But when it does, the "unlock" symbol showed on the screen, now i can control any device i have connect to it with just a gesture. If I dont make a selection on the singlecue screen, the screen will go into sleep mode quickly, which is a lil annoying! Also waking up the device (by raising your finger) can be annoying too, because it could take a few tries for it to recognize my finger gesture. The device also makes beeping sounds for every selection i make! I wish they made a ON/OFF setting for sounds! The device was also having difficulty reading gestures in low light settings! Now this review is just my initial thought so far! They are still sending updates, to make it more compatible to a lot of different devices, like lighting, sound bars, etc! So for right now, im just using it to turn my devices on & off at the same time, and muting/unmuting my tv ( by placing my finger on my lips, so cool) changing channels & controlling the TV volume! I think this device will be awesome once more devices are added...More updates coming soon!

Overpriced with limited functionality
The technology is like the xbox kinect but I was very surprise with the great accuracy. I was able to hook up my TV with no problems. However, with my cable box, I was having troubles to get my favorite channels and manual number input to work. Sent a email to the company and haven't gotten a response. The system is very buggy along with the app. A update was required after i entered my wifi password. The singlecue always looses connection to my wifi. It doesn't really matter, only for updates, as the app does all the settings and syncs to the unit. For navigation of the menu with your fingers felt very sensitive and sometimes over sensitive. I was able to control the TV volume and channel Up + Down with no problems. The fustration is trying to navigate the channel guide with your finger, it just doesn't work well. I then hooked up my apple TV. Everything here works as listed but turning on the apple tv requires you to hit the play button, instead of everything loading automatic. Big problem with the apple TV is you can't turn it off with the singlecue because the apple tv requires you to hold the button to turn it off. Overall the singlecue is great for the accuracy with one finger but it is just way over priced. This unit should cost no more than $99.99. I do agree with others that the Xbox One has a better value for you money and does almost the same stuff along with voice recognition. The last main concern is the privacy issue. the unit is always on. It doesn't go to sleep with inactivity.. I understand that it needs to always be on but should at least go to sleep if inactive for 48hours or so.I hope future updates will fix some of these issues and more support is needed for this product. I have yet to receive a response regarding my problems so this already tells me this company is not the best with updates and support. For now i cannot recommend this product..

Immense potential, needs software improvement. The future is here!
My honest opinion: immense potential, futuristic idea, but not ready for production just yet.The good:- The hardware that is required for controlling is already there. Software updates are coming in and the device upgrades itself constantly. The further down the line from this review (October 2015) you buy this, the better the software will be.- Setup is easy, just plug in.- Adding devices is easy, add devices using the smart phone app.- "Activities" are awesome. You define an activity by adding whatever devices you need to turn on with a single click. For example watch Netflix - you add TV and Roku to an activity.- My 5.5 year old learned quickly how to use it and could put on her favorite movies by herself. The bad:- Too sensitive to finger movement. I wish there was a sensitivity control in the app.- Sometimes would misread a movement as a repeat press of the same button, and the menu would jump all the way up, or the volume would go all the way down (thankfully it didn't happen with volume up). It isn't physically possible for a person to make the the pinch gesture 10-15 times in two seconds.- If you enjoy having your food while watching TV, or let your kids have meals in front of it, it will keep muting, thinking you are attempting to do the Shhh gesture.- Young children. My kids are 4 and 5.5, and they move a lot. It drives the Singlecue crazy, and them too because their movement triggers actions that either stop their movies or mute the tv.- I found the menus on the device (not the app) a little repetitive and confusing.- For some reason it has some trouble "waking" Roku up (we have Roku 2 XS). Once it is awake, the controlling of it is ok.Features I'd love to see in the future:- Sensitivity control in the app.- Setup process for minimal height for controlling the Singlecue (you could try to figure it out by yourself by trial and error, but it could be helpful to have a setup process to make it fast and easy). This way you could potentially eliminate wrongful reaction to kids movements, or for people who would rather control it by standing up or rising their hand higher up.- A simple on/off feature without unplugging. If for example you have guests over and you don't want the Singlecue over reacting to all the people around it.Bottom line, I expect great things from this lovely appliance.
